Hey there friend! If you've somehow stumbled upon this post from way back in 2017, you can ignore it! Future me has hijacked this post years after its posting to use it to host ZIPs to link back to in current posts. You're welcome to peruse the ZIP downloads below, but this is in no way intended to be user friendly. If you're looking for specific releases ...

Hey everyone! This poll around is a little more obviously self-serving, but I'd really appreciate it if you took five seconds to give me a quick click and let me know how you ended up hearing about the Patreon. This in turn will help build a picture for me of where most of you are coming from out in the rest of the internet and help me in knowing where to best invest my resources in getting the wo...

Here it is!
The second mapmaking guide that I've made and released as a result of your support here, the Village mapmaking guide focuses on just that, villages. Using our recent village of Poaret as the example that's broken down, I delve a little further into my own thoughts on narrative and worldbuilding and how those pragmatically influence my mapmaking process. If y...

Since we released the Wyvern Tor map earlier this week, I thought it would be fitting to go back to our original battle map guide and reconfigure the Old Owl Well map into our standard battle map formatting.
This one's free, and now has been resized and edited to nicely accompany the Wyvern Tor map, enjoy!

The Photoshop files used in making Wyvern Tor. All of the drawing elements, colors, textures, and map labeling are on separate layers, so it should be easy to not only edit the map overall within photoshop, but take distinct portions of it for more specific uses.
If anything isn't showing up correctly or you're having difficulty using the file, be sure to let me know.

About a month ago I posted a poll here assessing where all of you stood on preferences between original content that was released here vs. maps that were based on or intended to supplement preexisting, officially published adventure modules. Responses were somewhat split between the options, but of the module ideas put forward, the Lost Mine of Phandelver was far and away the most p...

Hi all! Today we hit the $50 per map goal, which means I'll be working to release our next mapmaking guide: towns & villages, to be released later this month.
Making guides and assets for you all to be making your own maps is something that's really important to me. If you haven't seen it already, the first guide on making smaller scale battle maps is available for download below. I'd ...

Hi all, as part of continually trying to have an accurate understanding of us as a community and what you're wanting and receiving from this patreon, here's another poll.
Pretty straightforward, but if you could simply let me know in which context(s) you actually play in and how you're using the maps released here, that would be great. Information and responses like this help me cater more...

Hello all!
In releasing the Crystal Kingdom map today I've been thinking a lot recently about map supplements to preexisting D&D stories/modules. The Crystal Kingdom map is an accessory to be used/listened with The Adventure Zone podcast and our battle map making guide is for a side quest in the Lost Mine of Phandelver starting module.
What kind of inte...

This is a public post releasing a map I've made based off of one of my favorite D&D podcasts right now, The Adventure Zone. This is a map of one of the story arcs they go through in the campaign that I had personally always had a little trouble visualizing the layout of.
Thought I would make this to help other fans listening as well as those DMs out there running campaigns based on ...

Hello and thank you so much for your support here! I truly want the content released here to be well-suited to what you're looking for, so please use this poll to voice your opinion (as well as the comments below!).
For right now I am only looking for a little further direction in regards to what kind of maps you all need the most. I believe the options here are pretty self-explanatory,...

Here is the first map-making guide I've produced, a step-by-step process of how I would go about making a smaller scale, single structure battle map. The map in this case just so happens to also function as a supplement to a side adventure in the Dungeons & Dragons starter adventure Lost Mine of Phandelver.
The guide does assume some very basic familiarity with Photoshop, but ...
