How are you doing my beautiful people?

I'm actually pretty good. Getting over my cat's death. Eventhogh I could a swear that I heard him miaowing a few days ago while I was taking a shower :P Sometime I kindda forget that he's not here anymore. But other than that, the moral is good.

Only 3 pics remaining on the commission list at the moment. It took forever but I have to admit that...

Here's something a bit different. The layout took me a bit of time to get right but I'm pretty happy with the final result. Why is the Handmaiden looking like Emma Watson you asked? That was what the commissioner requested. At first I tried to be more subtle about it, but in the end I recreated her likeness based on a picture from a red-carpet event. It was more satisfying this way.

That was a fun one. I was slightly intimidated. The difference of proportions simply eliminated the use of reference pictures. But with a bit of planing, I think I did really good here.

How are you doing you beautiful people?

I'm all right, now, but I had a rough weekend. I had to put my cat to sleep. He had a tumor as big as his head in the belly ( I don't know what it was attached to ) and water in it's lungs. He would have died painfully in a couple of days/weeks.

My fake Spawn vs Batman Comic, final page

Much better time for this one. 22h instead of 36. Fewer cells helped of course, but even with the same number, I think I would have been faster on this one.

Pretty happy with the speed effect here. I even considered going back on page 2 and redo the chains that way... but then I realised that, I had to move on at some point. this is a demo, not a paying gig.

I'm about to start working on that last page for my fake comic, and I'm honestly bummed out. Those are taking way too long. And I cannot envision a company that would alloy a pace of 1 page a week. I'll still finish it. My portfolio needed an update anyway. And I'll still throw my hat in the mix for the job. But I doubt that it is for me...

How are you doing beautiful people? I'm fine. Been hard at work on my portfolio. Pretty happy with how it came out, but I'm slightly worried that I might have gone overboard with the shadows. It's not my usual style and it take so much more time. But it fit the tone of these two characters ( Spawn Vs Batman ) and I think the result looks great.

Another moody piece with a smoky atmosphere. It feels like that's a theme for this batch of commissions.

Setting it in the upside down was a challenge. I needed it to be dark and blue, but sex is a lot more interesting in full colors, so I needed to find the balance here.

How are you doing beautiful people?

I made a mistake last Monday: I watched Encanto.

It’s funny and quite good ( I cried most of it… I have issues :P ) but that also meant that, ever since, I’ve had “We do not talk about Bruno, no, no, no” stuck in my head. It is catchy as fuck! Although, as a song, I think I prefer “Surface Pressure”.

I wasn’t sure I’d manage to complete it today, but I did… And oh boy, did it turn out a hell of a lot better that I was expecting!

With all that black, I was afraid we wound’t see the Xemomorph. But the red light contrasting with the green smoke is doing the trick. The funny thing is, I didn’t plan that :P I wasn’t expecting the red lights to become the main source of lights b...
