Here's a version of a recent commission without the sprite-rip backgrounds. The characters and lettering were drawn by hand. I got too lazy for word balloons, so that's just shape tool and polygonal lasso. Wendy's bolt of magic is also a photoshop brush of some kind.

I’m 30 hours into Hollow Knight. It’s really good. But rival/mysterious waifu Hornet here is the reason that games with volume sliders really need voice and sound effects to be separate. I can accept that she’s infamously the first real skill wall in the game, but a frustrating fight is only made worse when the boss is screaming during every move.
