Having a boat is tough. It’s not always champagne sailing 🙉 sometimes (a lot of the time) you have to get dirty and you have to clean spaces that are out of reach or you have to fix things you have incredibly little knowledge about. It’s all about learning and endurance and patience. But it’s important to stay positive 🌸✨

It baffles me how our blue sky can change to this array of different and bright oranges, magentas and pinks. All because the sun rays are hitting the clouds and air particles at different angles.

It was a chilly afternoon but the sunset was stunning, I haven’t done any colour enhancements on these images since I feel like these images capture what I could see

Dinner and a Sunset

I went out for dinner, got some Italian food and watched the sun set over the African Sea 🌊 it feels nice to treat yourself once in a while

Cleaning up lines

It’s important to keep the cockpit clear and organised while out at sea. So we gather the lines and put them in side compartments in the cockpit if we know they are going to be active. And the lines we will most likely not use often we gather and let them run down into the companionway.

CATCH

This sail yacht has a running back stay, we had to replace a line on it but only realised after we took the line out that the wind was blowing it out of reach. Our skipper then showed us how to get it back. Safe to say I was impressed

Sailor Puppy

This is the Captain of the boat’s dog, he is so cute!

Tacking

When you are inside the boat while tacking you have to watch out for anything flying off countertops and shelves. This was a pretty smooth tack 😊 enjoy your day
