This weekend

It was a busy week at work this week. Lots of meetings and an election (I volunteer as a poll worker). I'll be making 3 scenes this weekend for this week. I expect to post two today.

Monday Update

The rendering went smoothly. I'll get to post work later today and post two pages hopefully by early evening.

Progress Update

Last week was incredible. I came back from vacation with a  whole group of people wanting to become clients. It was my best week since covid. I now have lots of happy new clients in my day job. While on vacation, I also learned that I'll be making more money which is great.

Back From Vacation

I'm back from vacation. I had an awesome time. The jetlag really hit my when I came home. This doesn't usually happen. I'm getting caught up with work. I came home to a group of people wanting to become new clients, which is awesome. Today  I'm going to try and reload the messed up files and get back to creating art.

Going On Vacation

I wasn't able to create anything before going on vacation. I need to figure out where I messed up loading back the key files. That's top priority when I get back.

I screwed Something Up

When I was loading the files for things like breasts, I had the feeling I was missing something. I was, but I don't know what. None of it works, due to missing files. I'm deleting everything and starting over. I'm sure I'm just missing something small. The good news is that I have all the files.

Everything Looks Good

The new drive is in; all the programs are downloaded; and all the data has been transferred over. Everything looks good and in working order with nothing lost. Fingers Crossed - I'm Back

My new computer arrived early. I've got the 8TB SSD installed. Now I'm downloading programs. Everything except DAZ Studio is done. DAZ will be loading for the rest of the night. In the morning I'll load the files from my old 8TB HHD, and start setting up DAZ the way I like it.

Dell Is Reliably Unreliable

My new computer was supposed to arrive between June 12th and the 15th. It's the 15th! I've been following the progress in the order tracker, and I could see that they were not on track to hit that window, even though they kept saying they were. I got an email today notifying me that the delivery date has been changed to June 27th. I'm convinced Dell could screw up a wet dream.

Being A Pain Works

Instead of sending me another Alienware Aurora R13, Dell is now sending me an Alienware Aurora R15. Better graphics card and CPU Cooler. It also has a bigger hard drive. Still not big enough for my needs, so I'll have to buy another 8TB; but the price difference between the two models is enough of a difference for me to call it good enough.

Computer Update

On Friday I emailed Michael Dell a lengthy and detailed account of his company's many failings. A whole different department called me today and offered to send me a new computer of equal or better stats.

Worst Company Ever

My computer was returned. They didn't check to see if they fixed it. They didn't fix it. They also lost my 8TB SSD.

They've offered a computer, but they wanted me to agree to accept it, without addressing the 8TB drive.  That wasn't happening. They're going to contact the "repair" facility and call me back Monday. Never buy a Dell.

Computer Update

My computer should arrive back tomorrow. Initially they reported it fixed last week, and I made them verify the CPU speed before shipping it back. To no one's surprise they ended up moving it from finished back to being repaired. We'll see what condition it arrives in tomorrow.

Computer Next Steps

Dell and I can't agree on replacement terms, but we did reach an agreement on next steps. Dell has acknowledged that their Repair Depot dropped the ball. Instead of looking at the notes I sent and seeing how serious the problem was, they treated it like a routine issue and didn't even check to see if they fixed it before sending it back.
