I had a running theme going on with the Mr. Stevens character. I loved the way he conveyed complete horror, and embarrassment. Expressions are a real challenge in DAZ. I often have to settle for something a little bit less than I had hoped for, but not with this character.

The text on the teleprompter is pretty funny, if you can make it out. The idea is that he read the prompter, not real...

The Control Room (SFW)

I was experimenting with IRAY textures when I did this scene. the amount of characters started becoming an issue with the need for GPU cards to render, and the limit it puts on how many objects you can have in a scene due to memory thresholds. This wasn't an issue in 3Delight. I could put 20 people in a scene, and the render speed was not any different.

Bottoms Up Alt (SFW)

I did a number of renders of this idea. I rejected a few due to lighting issues. This one even seems a little hot in places.

The transition from 3Delight to IRAY forced me to setup lights in a completely different way,  and it took a bit of trial and lots of error for me to figure out what worked best. I'm much more consistent now.

Blushing Bride

I originally was putting together a completely different image than what I wound up with here.  It devolved into a sort of forced marriage image. It makes me laugh though because I think I was able to create a good sleazy groom character, and was able to convey the misery of the bride, who clearly wants nothing to do with the whole idea.

Often when I seek inspiration, I find it helps if i just create new characters to see if one or all of then speak to me and say, "I have a story to tell."

I don't always use the new characters right away, but sometimes they show up in the background or as extras.

Not all of them were successful, but I promised to share the bad stuff along with the good.

I am bad about sharing, renders that I see as failures, but I'm working on that as it shows, the development process.
