Chapter 7 — The Blood Behind the Walls (VB)

Two exits led further into the cultist hideout, and Noah followed Aurelia through the right exit. The area led into a smaller corridor, with various rooms carved and set up inside the cavernous walls.

Noah followed behind Aurelia, as she went through every room checking for traps, before she searched and tossed anything important towards Noah for storage.

Chapter 6 — The Full HD Isekai Experience (VB)

Noah held up the key, displaying it to Aurelia.

"Where did you find that?" she asked, looking at the key in confusion.

"When I tried to put Viktral's storage device in my inventory, it gave me an option to transfer out the items from the storage device and I selected yes," Noah replied. Opening a dimensional pocket, he fumbled around before pulling out a glass vial filled with crims...

Chapter 5 — Inventory ++ Now with autoloot (VB)

Aurelia looked down at Noah, arms folded as she tapped her foot.

“You’re welcome for the help,” Noah replied, trying not to be annoyed at her attitude. He remained where he’d collapsed onto the ground, looking up at Aurelia who could pulverize him in a single blow with an uncertain look.

“Right. My apologies. I do appreciate the help, even though you spent a lot of time st...

Chapter 4 — Cultistus Exterminatus (VB)

Noah stared at the words floating in front of him, before his sight went to the dropping top bar. He’d lost too much blood, and he doubted he’d be alive much longer at the current rate. Closing his eyes, he found the words still present in his sight, and reached out towards them.

Chapter 3 — Into the Murder Den (VB)

A cold and grainy sensation brushed against Noah’s body. His eyes fluttered against the feeling, before he opened them. Solid gray rock met his sight, as Noah came to, trying to understand where he was.

He pushed up his body, looking around. He appeared to be in some sort of underground chamber. Raising his body, he looked down and saw himself wearing his old shirt, the giant hole cut t...

Chapter 2 — Do I get a lawyer? (VB)

An eternity passed in darkness, awareness and consciousness, brief fleeting concepts, distant from the immaterial soul that drifted through the void.

Then, a pulse began, before another, and another. Sensation returned, then form, and memories. Something stirred in the darkness.

Noah felt his thoughts starting to gather. His first thoughts went by in a drift, before he even became a...

Mark of Time on Break, New story, and Future Plans

Hey folks, it's been a while. I've been taking some time off recently with approaching exams to focus on not failing the semester, so chapters have been slow. I've also been doing some planning for the upcoming year, and changes to come.

First order of business. Mark of Time will be going on a break. I can't give an exact date for when I'll resume the story, which I know I will, not...

119 — Change of Plans

I stood beside the village head, who held the official scroll in his hand with the termination of the contract for buying the spirit crystals and spirit herbs produced in the village of Taizhou in his hands. The man had had a few minutes to read the contents of the letter as I’d received the news and arrived here. And as it turned out, so had the rest of the village.

I’d expected Elde...

118 — Gossip

Yin stepped through shrubs near the Qi vein, feeling the gentle breeze rustle her hair. There was a jute back sewn together that hung by her wait, tied with two little strings that kept the thing firmly in place. Searching through the grass, she picked up stalks of spirit grass, before placing it into the basket. Just another day as usual for her, if not for the two people accompanying her.

117 — Alchemic Chemistry

The past day had me spend hours talking with Yin about her grandfather and reading through the many notes the man had gathered over the decades. Wei Guo may not have shattered the heavens, but he was by no means a meagre man. The notes that I'd made were far more detailed and incredible than the childish messing around that I did with my own projects.

He’d even worked with cultivators, ...

I walked silently behind Yin, as she guided me back to her home. A thousand questions ran in my mind, all that I’d been wanting to ask the girl, but she’d insisted on taking me to her place, and seeing her resolute expression, I’d given in to her demands.

The village swept by beyond my awareness, as my eyes remained set firmly on the back of the girl walking in front of me. I nodde...

Update — Injury

So, unfortunately, I was in an accident. I'm alive, with most my external little meaty bits still attached, but my legs took a shot, a pretty bad one, and walking will not be on table for at least a few days.

Can't say if that'll delay chapters, but it might. Stay safe out there folks, and hopefully I'll be back soon with some words.

115 — Explosion Science

The air flickered and danced in front of me. Sparks spewed out, emitted by various fire spirit herbs in the cauldron. I stirred an iron ladle through the contents, crushing up little chunks of the herbs any time I noticed them, while simultaneously guiding the fire within with my Qi. It was a soothing process, other than the fact that the temperature made me slightly concerned about my clothes ...

Cover Sketch Early look

Cover Sketch Early look

Apologies for the lack of chapters this week, there was a fest in my college, and the work there completely swept me away. (It was also, quite a bit of fun)

In the meantime, here's an early sneak peek at the book 1 cover I'm commissioning for QiMC2!

Poison Qi flowed around in a mortar, mingling with the spirit herbs set inside. Liuxiang focused her senses, the pestle in her hand grinding down the spirit herbs. The action was calming, soothing, a reminder of the days she’d left behind her. She also enjoyed the far greater efficiency with which she could control her poison now, having broken through to the fourth realm.

The poison Qi...

Xardhviladrothic, the Great

An AU following Xar's birth in the dungeon. The events are separate from Mark of Time, and are the result of me thinking "following Xar as the MC through a monster evo LitRPG will be pretty neat" and thus I've made a suitably more chunky LitRPG system for that purpose.

I hope you enjoy!

Note: I will write a new MoT chapter soon, I promise. Just trying to ...

113 — A Familiar Stranger

I made my way to the village chief’s home, finding an even larger crowd now looking inside at the curious visitor. Despite having relatively grown used to the presence of cultivators among them, Taizhou was still a fairly small village. A cultivator visiting their village and being attacked was typically the most exciting that happened around the village.

Walking through the crowd that ...

I walked across the plains, taking in the rushing wind. Chi flowed through my feet, my steps barely touching the ground as I stepped throughout the whole way. There was something oddly relaxing about speeding through grassy plains, following no particular path...

A gentle breeze flew in through the window, stirring me out of my daze. I looked up outside, to see the rising sun peeking over the horizon as my eyes widened in surprise. Zu Ri stood with her head bowed, feeling Elder Yan’s wrath pressing down upon her shoulders. Chains held her in place, loose enough to allow her movement in her prison. The chamber they stood in was dark, set deep within the ground below the Yan manor, a dungeon carved of polished stone.

28 — Mother of Webs (MoT)

The dungeon of Lienmont, like all dungeons, had layers to its structure. The first layer were cavernous tunnels, of twisting and turning mazes, and narrow paths. An ideal structure for ambush and poison attacks. Although one argument thought the sewers to be part of the reason for the poison inclination of the first layer.

There was no fixed depth to this layer, but like all dungeon path...
