This character's been bouncing around for the last six months. She's another of "Magic Girl" type concepts. Name subject to change but I'm leaning towards "The Cleaner"...

All Eyes take 2

This is totally off the rails from the scene in the show, but whatever. This was done in Krita, which actually works a lot better than some professional software (cough Corel cough).

The She Hulk series didn't really send her up as a bombshell. The one exception was the wedding episode which had a few pretty fun exchanges. This is a quick marker sketch, I think I may try this one again digitally...

More character sketch tweaks

I think the character was a bit too masc, so maybe a more feminine haircut? I liked the pompadour though. It may show up again on some other character. I should probably think of a name for this one at some point too.  I had "Boss Lady" in the script but that's too dry...

After looking at the sketches. A "magic girl" could dress conservatively, but the colors should be bold at least. Also a fitted vest may look better than suspenders in this case...

What is a Magic Girl anyway?

I've thought about doing some "Magic Girl" type transformations. I don't know how it's officially defined. I tend to think of Sailor Moon, She Ra, and Cutey Honey as good examples. The outfit transformation is generally more important than any changes to the physique. It's not that the body can't change, just that it's not the emphasis.

Imagine my surprise when the She Hulk series actually had Buck Bukowski, that's a deep cut. I also appreciate how they made him entirely self-absorbed. I like surrounding super powerful characters with schlubs who think they're the actual star of the show.

Animation Practice

I'm still experimenting with look-and-feel for the next animation and I want to take more advantage of Blender's features, particularly rigging and depth of field. Here's an initial experiment with a 2.5D perspective with some basic armature rigging. It's not the best but I think with some more practice I could get something interesting out of it.
