Busy week on my end. I’m shooting for the next Jane Foster page to drop this weekend but there’s a lot going on. In the interim here’s a couple Soviette sketches as I keep experimenting with her design and in particular how her hair should move. I’m looking forward to when I can start posting her origin.

I'm currently working on cleaning up the line art for the next animation. This will be really barebones. I don't know if it will even be in color. I want to do a few small scale ones before going all out with anything larger. 

With any luck it will be done before the end of the month.

Jane Foster - WIP

This page started coming together quick enough that I feel I can start teasing. I intended this just to just be a few pages but I'm already getting carried away with the FMG sequence. Hopefully the first page will be done by the weekend.

I’m glad I finished this one before I saw The Multiverse of Madness. The Marvel movies have been reverential to its characters and source material. MoM is the first film that seemed to actively loathe them. Sam Raimi seemed to say with every one of the much-heralded cameos “doesn’t this suck? Its dumb, right?” Maybe that was the point, and maybe in 10 years I’ll appreciate it for that...

In terms of progress the first few pages of Soviette are underway but I don't know when I'll start posting here. I'd really like to sneak through a couple Marvel fan pieces in the interim. 

"Big Girl" Character Designs

In the original Mask comics, no one refers to the character as "The Mask". Whoever's wearing it is called "Big Head". Since this character was inspired by the Mask I think I'm going to start just calling her "Big Girl" going forward. Still working out a costume, but I like the cowboy hat.

Character Design Refinements

I posted a couple images of the orange-skinned/purple-haired woman I'm still refining her look. Initially she was going to be a total downer, but now I'm thinking the hulked-out version should be more manic. Something like a bridesmaid on a bender in Nashville. 

Hopefully the $5 tier should see her in action before too long.

The Symbiote Merge

There were a lot of problems with the first Venom movie, but to me the worst was to introduce a great nerdy scientist, have her merge with a symbiote, and then have it all happen off screen. C'mon man, give us just a taste! Anyway here's an FMG spin on that.

The Venom animation may be ready soonish—I think the most complex scenes are done at this point. In the meantime this just snuck right in and has been as easy as the Venom stuff is complex. I don’t know when I’ll get to coloring but that might just sneak in too.
