A new render engine kicks out a chain of falling domino pieces. In this instance the more realistic the render the less forgiving it is to fluids drawn in post production. Here I'm testing a couple of methods to add a layer of rendered liquids.
UPDATED: Talk about testing and ongoing ch...

Finally I'm getting to pages like this one, where I haven't had to go back and fix and re-render stuff that didn't work. I also found a way to use magnets and morph targets so thongs behave like thongs.

As the story advances you'll notice improvements. Thigns changed (hopefully) for the better. Last chapter it was the chief thug's hair, this one it's the cyborg arms. As I still haven't fully grasped every aspect and nuance of the Suèrfly shaders I have to keep fixing things along the way. Please excuse any inconsi...

This batch of pictures is the last made using the Firefly engine. Given its limitations I think I got a good milleage out of it.

The customer's always right, and it goes double when the customer is actually right. After Adam Van Hammée comment I've tried to fix Marshal Henderson 01 Page 005's last panel and while I don't think I've fully succeed I think I've improved it.

By now mostly every panel looks as good as it should, some better than I expected. Still having to make corrections to the blade's metal and the eye's reflections but getting there. I'm also using more morph targets for expressions instead of just moving the mouth or lips.
It's great not having to retouch rend...

By this page I'm finally, truly, getting used to area lights and the degree of indirect light. It helps it beign a smaller, more controlable space.

Well, some things are already acomplished and some are a work in progress. The flesh shader is working fine. I keep fixing the lights (as you can see it's a complex enviroment) and some of the hair is nailed and some is not. Hopefully I'll be able to correct whatever needs to be corrected on the fly.

Finally it's here. New story, new characters, new scenery, even a new render engine.
But the same good 'ol kinkiness, of course!
As a side note, MTF stands for Marshal Task Force. Initially it was a longer acronym: San Angeles Marshal Force. But SAMF looked pretty silly stenciled on the side of a combat bile. I shortened to make it sound cooler only to find the bonus of sounding lik...

These are test renders and I'm testing everything. The new engine means new shaders and lighting sets and getting the hang of what values get what results (you wouldn't believe how much I've cranked up, down and up again the indirect and direct lights). Not to mention workable engine settings that get quality results but doesn't take a day to render. On top of that I'm implementing an enormous ...

All good things come to an end and both this scene (which is good for everyone involved save maybe Mamba) and this issue end on this chapter. The story doesn't end, far from it, but it will continue on the third issue. And if you expected more mileage from Emile be assured you'll see it.
