2020-12-20 06:30:53 +0000 UTC View PostThe chorus of this song can be a challenge due to the quick string skipping with swung 16th rhythm. Watch my right hand picking and follow when I play two notes in a row with my index finger to help simplify the sequence. :)

2020-12-03 19:52:50 +0000 UTC View PostA classic! I added just a hint of chorus to get a little closer to Ross Valory's tone on the recording. Enjoy. :)

2020-11-29 00:31:32 +0000 UTC View PostMy apologies if you are unable to view this video. This song has been a challenge with copyright issues, and is still blocked regionally. The video has the lead vocal removed and a backing track different from the original. The backing track I created for Patreon has all of the original vocals and instruments with the bass removed. :)
2020-11-19 16:58:13 +0000 UTC View PostHeyo! This tab uses the same fretting positions that Jack White uses, and I opted to palm mute the verses as he does and follow his same embellishments in the chorus.
As many of you know, this "bassline" was recorded with a guitar. The tone was achieved by running a Kay hollowbody electric guitar through the octave-down setting of a DigiTech Whammy pedal.
Most music these days is qu...
2020-11-17 04:52:23 +0000 UTC View PostTesting out this prototype CR6 Radius Bass Guitar from NS Design. It's the most comfortable 6-string bass I've played - perfectly balanced, very lightweight (without being too light), and it sounds amazing. I blended in the piezo pickups 50% with the magnetic pickups here - they provide the crystal clear high end. I'm capturing the sound with my Genzler Amplification rig.
2020-11-13 05:01:47 +0000 UTC View PostThis song’s catchy and repetitive groove may serve as a good introduction to odd meters for you. I personally enjoy how the tempo breathes throughout the piece, swaying and increasing steadily, requiring your close attention to stay locked in.
By request, I put together a list of gear that I use, and I organized it into the categories below. I’ll keep adding to these lists as I featur...
2020-11-10 01:45:15 +0000 UTC View PostHere's a great beginner line for you. You can use a pick, like the original, or your fingers if you prefer.
2020-11-06 02:28:59 +0000 UTC View PostI suggest this one for practicing reading (move the window lower on your monitor to block the tabs if you like), and you can also try making your own walking line by following the listed chord changes.
2020-11-06 02:20:46 +0000 UTC View PostThis song is filled with outstanding writing, playing, groove, and all around musicianship. It's one of my personal favorites.

2020-11-06 01:57:48 +0000 UTC View PostHi all. :) As many of you know, this bassline is played on a 6-string originally. I arranged it a few different ways for 4-string and played them all here. You can choose whichever one works best for you or mix and match.

2020-10-20 13:00:05 +0000 UTC View PostI took this video of my buddy, Wojtek, at NAMM a few years back. Isn't his playing amazing?! I'll post my cover sometime soon. Here are the tabs in the meantime; many of you have been requesting them. I used a better recording for the Backing Track, since this video was recorded with my phone at NAMM, which has a massive noise floor. Enjoy. :)

2020-10-09 13:01:01 +0000 UTC View PostI’m running my bass through a Boss OC-3 for the sub octave on this one. Left hand palm muting throughout. Enjoy. :)
2020-10-08 05:48:05 +0000 UTC View PostLet's get those hands synced up with this epic riff from Chris Wolstenholme!
I'm running my bass through a Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra, an EHX Bass Microsynth, and an EHX deluxe bass Big Muff (all in parallel) for that thick synthy tone.
