2016-07-31 23:59:00 +0000 UTC View PostThis month, the two versions of our monster are fairly different. For Dungeon World, we have sci-fi VAT MERCHANTS , creating zombies for you in their tanks full of fluid. For Labyrinth Lord, we have a dungeon section full of secret doors, strange loot, and threats like the VAT ZOMBIES, along with a sizeable selection of other zombie types you may enjoy.
This is an updated version of the Clay Golems and their dungeon, for use with Labyrinth Lord.
Here is a revised version of a very old dungeon that contains ghosts, zombies, and death cultists.
We monsters of the dungeon appreciate good art too, it's not just you sunloving surface people. We use these rooms to put our fine works on display, so others can appreciate them and be inspired to destroy you and your laws.
Here is a slightly revised version of the Unicorn Burial Ground.
An underground lake with magical properties, where some of our monsters hang out.

It is time to share some more Labyrinth Lord dungeons! I have been working on revising a few old ones and creating lots of new ones for the various monsters we already have and a few we don't have yet.

2016-05-31 23:59:00 +0000 UTC View PostThe Monthly Monster for May is The Amalgam, a creature that tears holes in reality to connect different planes of existence. This is one of those monsters that feels like it could be the start of a whole new theme, so maybe we will end up doing more Planescape-style fantasy monsters.
Both Dungeon World and Labyrinth Lord stats are provided in the same document this time.

2016-04-30 23:59:00 +0000 UTC View PostYou can now find it at both DriveThruRPG and Lulu for sale to the general public. I have emailed all patrons coupon codes for DriveThruRPG, so you can have the pdfs in your library there and so you can buy the print version for the cost of printing and shipping only. If you don't receive these emails, lemme know so I can send them again or get them to an email address that works for you. Thank you...
2016-04-21 15:51:37 +0000 UTC View PostThe Death Cult, for Dungeon World and Labyrinth Lord (in separate files). Nihilistic yet filled with purpose, a terrifying and persistent foe.
Once again, we're experimenting with content and layout! Planet Maldoran is a science fantasy setting full of dangerous places and dangerous monsters, all oriented around plots and situations, so it's system agnostic.

2016-03-31 06:59:00 +0000 UTC View PostI have been making monsters for a new game I'm working on, The Nightmares Underneath. It's old school style dungeoncrawling but with dungeons that are extraplanar incursions made of nightmares (and with a vague setting that's more Middle Eastern/swords and sandals than Euro-American fantasy forestland).
So I thought if all y'all were interested, I could post them here, as a bonus thing (much...

2016-02-26 01:08:50 +0000 UTC View PostThis month's monster is a rules-agnostic space station used for mining. Or it should be used for mining, but the management is running dangerous, illegal, and highly unethical experiments and the miners have their own criminal organization going on.
Okay, so: with A Market in the Woods now finished (see the last post), the giant book full of dungeons for all our dungeon-y monsters is back on the front burner.
Now, I realize this isn't the most interactive of patreons, BUT: if you have suggestions for stuff you want to see in future Monthly Monster dungeons, post them here. Maybe you have stuff going on in one of your campaigns that you'...
2016-02-20 18:44:10 +0000 UTC View PostOur third Dungeon World book is finished. A Market in the Woods collects another dozen entries from amongst our many monthly monsters, and adds to them new details about that elusive and dangerous market. This book is super-heavy on the NPCs, with a few outdoor monster cultures (no dungeons in this one!), and it's just as intricately illustrated as the last book, maybe even more so.
I've...
2016-02-18 23:47:26 +0000 UTC View PostMore of the new Labyrinth Lord format (but no new art from Nathan, so this is a bonus piece).
Includes three maps: fungus valley, the mushroom lair, and the unicorn burial grounds
three old monsters: myconians, pygmy cave trolls, and rhinocorn homunculi
and one new monster: the purple clouds.

2016-01-31 00:00:00 +0000 UTC View PostThe nuns of the Bone Goddess maybe look skeletons, but they are no mindless automatons. Covered in ghostly flame, they have retained their intellects, all the better to worship their morbid deity.
I did the Labyrinth Lord version in the standard style for now, but I'm going to revise it as soon as I get the map of their monastery finished.
2016-01-27 15:20:56 +0000 UTC View PostHere is another one for the Labyrinth Lord series. I reworked the dungeon of the rhinocorn homunculi (the Monthly Monster for September 2014) to fit on a digest-sized 2-page spread (or 1 letter-sized page). Mostly, I'm just trying to increase the usability and reference value of these maps as I colourize them.
