The way I do these lil character designs is different! They're more about exploring tone, whereas my painted pieces are all about colour! I'm still feeling my way around putting down tone and colour on separate layers, but doing these monthly draws has been instrumental in getting more practice in!

Hello hello loves! A lil commission for a dear friend! He wanted his character, Jesse, showing a softer, more vulnerable side. So here he's writing home. He's a kid who wears his wit as armor and rarely shares a soft side with anyone. It was sweet to be able to draw him in a more intimate moment!
