The GBU-54 Laser JDAM combines the precision of GPS with the tracking ability provided by the targeting pod's laser. This allows you to hit moving targets with more armor, and also allows you to track lasers from JTACs or friendly units lasing targets with their own targeting pod.

The entire LITENING targeting pod section has been updated with new functionalities (Air-to-Air mode, Snowplow mode, target correlation, etc.) and symbology. I also had to re-do weapon tutorials employing the targeting pod on the side, but all this work will come in very handy once I start more TGP-centric tutorials such as employment of the Maverick missile. Here is a preview of the SLAM tutorial. Four methods of target designation are shown (TOO Waypoint Designate, TOO with Targeting Pod, TOO with the Air-to-Ground Radar, and Pre-Planned). It's a fun toy to use for sure, and being able to control the missile remotely during the Terminal Attack Stage (TERM) can give you some extra precision.
