Art Enthusiast Wallpaper for June
A thing I was working on... can't say much more about it, since it may not turn into anything, but it was fun art to work on.

Ugh. Thought I'd uploaded this after I drew it a couple of weeks ago, but apparently I never hit "post."

As much as I'm trying to control/conquer my game backlog, I find that for most games there exists a certain price at which it's worth having even if I recognize I may never get to it. So while I try and stare Steam's sales in the face and firmly declare in my best Arya voice "Not today," they usually end up getting me anyway, at least a little bit.
Offer me certain games I've had my eye o...

You know how when you show a friend a movie you really like, and you just spend the entire time watching them out of the corner of their eye to make sure they're enjoying it? No? Just me?
Well, whenever I'm playing a game with someone, I become SUPER conscious of how I'm playing and spend a lot of the time imagining how the game is being perceived from a spectator standpoint. I'd guess pe...

I am not looking to start a debate on this, I'm not trying to rile anyone up. I'm not sitting behind a table with a "change my mind" sign on it.
I avoided all leaks and spoilers for TLOU2. I obviously did not let on that I had managed to do so, because that would almost certainly be inviting some jackass to intentionally try and spoil it for me. I would encourage any comments on this page...

I'd be super interested to know what the industry's pre-order numbers look like over the past decade, and how presales have been trending overall. I know that, personally, I used to be incredibly guilty of pre-ordering games. I'd get caught up in the hype, in securing the preorder bonuses, telling myself "I definitely want to play that game, so why not just order it now?"
I started doing...

I did it! I got through first grade! I'm so proud of myself!
My kid did a good job too, I guess.
It's weird, apart from my considerable relief that distance learning is over for the moment, our 6-year old finishing first-grade is depressingly uneventful :( We're taking him out for pizza and ice cream tonight, but I'll always feel bad that his year was so heavily impacted by the pa...

I spend most of the hours of each day making sure the important things in my life, such as my kids, my wife and my work, get the attention they need. It leaves a very finite amount of time for video games, and so I have to plan strategically what to play and where.
I can play violent video games in my office on my PC, but (especially with the kids pandemic'd at home now) the living room T...

I've been playing a lot of Project: Winter the past couple of weeks, and I love it. It reminds me a lot of Dead of Winter, without the zombies. And like Dead of Winter, there's a fun social trust/betrayer element which makes every game unique.
However I'm finding that I am both far too polite to distrust everyone to the extent that I should, and perhaps far too nervous to convincingly ho...

I feel like I may be the only one, but I just don't get Animal Crossing.
I've seen/read a lot about them over the years, but never actually played one. I told myself that this time, with the latest release, I was finally going to dive in and see what it was all about. I got as far as the checkout screen in the Nintendo store. I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger and spend $60...
Patron Wallpapers for May
Received an art request from my children this month. They wanted some clone artwork to hang up in their bedrooms. So I worked on Rex for my oldest, and an "ello" clone for my youngest (his favorite color is yellow).
