So this 'reboot' movie that came out around when I ran this incentive was really, really bad.  Apparently.  I mean, I didn't see it, so I have no clue.  But people who were paid to see it said it was really bad.  

Probably the most labor-intensive part of this whole image was the generation of the 'Puckwatch' logo.  I'm proud of that.

Incentive Control Tower Update/Requests

Hey guys.  So it's been kind of a difficult time on the day job front for me, and I've been really, really limited in terms of my time to do extra pics.  I AM working on my December pic, though (I promise), and it's a version of the 'Satan as Santa' concept that we bandied about last month.  

I think I'm going to be posting it in pieces, though, because it's turning out to be more...

Tracee as Jetta Maxx (Fighting Game Cosplay)

So yeah, this idea for a costume was thrown on the table by someone mainly as a joke, because Eternal Champions was a pretty obscure Sega Genesis fighter.  It had a following, but unlike Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat, it never entered the collective conscience and thus never became an enduring part of pop culture. 

I did clearly remember this costume, though.  It is amazing ...

Colin as Generic MK Ninja (Fighting Game Cosplay)

I had fun with this one - mainly in concept.  I enjoyed drawing the really early costume design (I think this is MK2-era, maybe?) because the outfits are just so cheap and simple.  I love drawing cheap costumes.  It's easier that way.

Hey guys.  So I'm done all the October Addams Family pics.  There are actually five of them, and I thought I'd put the fifth one as a post-Halloween November incentive.  Also for November, Shan W. commissioned this curious yet wonderful pic from Sean Harrington of 'Spying With Lana' fame. (It continues his odd yet cool desire to merge Puck and Fight Club together.)

Disney Cosplay - Puck as Maleficent

So apparently I misspelled Maleficent, which kind of frustrates me, because I feel strongly that Disney is in the wrong here.  NO ONE says 'Mal-EH-ficent'.  Everyone says 'Mal-IF-icent'.  To rhyme with 'magnificent'.  Only more evil.  QED.  I'm right even when I'm wrong.

Phoebe as Cruella - Disney Cosplay (Jan. 2017)

Another fun one to do.  It was very, VERY hard to approximate Cruella's skin tone, much the same as it was hard to approximate Ursula's earlier.  I took a few color samples from film stills, but depending on the pic, some of the colors turned out very different.  This one looked the closest - maybe a bit too blue, but I liked it.

Disney Villain Cosplay - Colin as Jafar (Jan. 2017)

I have to say that I love drawing costume designs from animated movies.  That's because animated movie costume designs are inherently simple - simple lines, easily reproduced and fun to look at.  Live action movie costumes are NOT like that; instead, they usually opt for insane detail and complexity. 

 I am still an animator at heart, I suppose.
