Photographically, we didn't do all that much, but I felt as though we created a good foundation for hopefully a good working relationship in the future. She was sweet, took direction well, and literally trusted me implicitly even though we had never met. Even though she has a few tattoos sporadically placed around her body, Kialey had the perfect form for this idea. I'm working on a book of soft, White-On-White shapes and forms, and I could not have asked for a better model. Thank goodness for Instagram. She had found my images online and randomly messaged me. Late last year Kat David and I took some photos at her apartment's community pool area. Though we received many curious views from her neighbors, I'd say the experience was overall very pleasant. Here she is being her beautiful, dorky self yet again...enjoy!
Figuring that we couldn't do much more, we called it quits only a few minutes later. The whole experience couldn't have been more than 20 minutes overall, but that was just enough to feel like we accomplished far more that afternoon than just sitting around drinking and bitching about the world. We added a bit of milk to the mix, making the water not be so transparent. But soon the water was so dense that the glow sticks weren't very visible at all, killing the effect. Even though I had bought dozens of them, I was hoping I'd be able to save some for a second attempt a few days later, not thinking I'd need to use all of them to generate enough light to make the desired effect possible.
