That coloured one still isn't quite finished but it's close now! Otherwise here's just a few sketches. The first sketch in here will be coloured and finished up too.
And I thought I may as well post the vrchat avatar I've been working on for... too long now. I keep thinking it's about done and then I see more issues that need fixing. I was meaning to make it available for sale once it's done...

there's some weird stuff in here.. maybe extra weird. I tried sketching a bunch of ctf to see if I could get anything to look appealing and not just full cursed but idk, there were other sketches I'm not posting since they seem more horror than sexy or anything lol. Maybe that grotesque intensity can be part of the appeal, but at any rate I haven't landed on any depictions I'm really happy with...

The couple of current things I've been working on.
The latex dragon one is something for thorphax. I made a little scene in blender for reference for some of it! I still struggle a lot to figure out lighting for shiny surfaces without a solid ref for it.
And hyper translucent creature. I started this with the intention of it being a cv thing, but I think maybe it can just be hyper without...
okay more growth stuff.. lots of BIG transformations lately. I finished this one shiny growth sequence thing while I had covid for some reason, I don't really like how it turned out but covid definitely impacted my ability to draw.
And more sketchy ideas... I don't think I'll take any of these further but I just really needed to get some stuff out of my system. Also practicing drawing butts...

Most of everything in this batch is unfinished, the 3 sequences here will be finished hopefully next month some time.
the latest pile of sketches. A lot of this was done in drawpile so there's bits of other artists stuff in there too. Some of these will get finished up better eventually!

some bits! The first one here was set up as a 3d scene initially but it's one that ended up probably taking longer than it should have using that method, I couldn't quite get the scene to look how I wanted in blender. Sometimes just painting things is easier.

So I ended up making a new character with a translucent gell underside. The whole thing is squishy and permeable. I've been very slowly working on a vrchat avatar for it, and here I used that in its early stages to set up this pic. The actual avatar won't have a giant dick (probably).

wow yum. I got really excited by the idea of translucent creatures for a while and wanted to try out some stuff. Experimented a bit with materials in blender for it. I had also been wanting to try illustrating translucency for quite a while but never had any good references for what I wanted to go for, then eventually it clicked I can just make my own.
So this was supposed to be like a sequ...
How this one happened. The 2nd pic that I did this way, I think. I used an unnecessarily large amount of lights on this one. It turned out okay but again I know how to do things more efficiently now.

Another early test with this technique. I spent a really long time messing with lights and transparency settings on this one. After posing the models I took them into zbrush to do some extra detail sculpting. I've since learned a bunch of stuff about lighting and reflections in blender, the way I set this picture up was a bit clunky and I know how to do things better for the future.

I just modified a vrchat avatar model I was working on and set up some lighting in blender, then painted over that.
