When I got my first camera and put the 18-35 f4.5 kit lens on it I was instantly disappointed. My iPhone 3 took better photos. I wanted the image to be sharp but dreamy with a blurred out background. Sitting Pose

Yesterday's shoot ended with this shot here which caught my eye. Besides the obvious, I just admired the casual pose, her half smile as she got her hair out of her eyes.

Atomic Barbie

Today's shoot inspired by two new movies coming out soon. Barbie and Oppenheimer. I doubt I will watch Barbie but I would be interested in seeing Nolan's film.

Fitness Throwbacks from 2015-2019

She’s always been pretty lean. But around 2014 she started running and doing CrossFit out of the blue. I didn’t think much of it but next thing I new she had abs and was extremely fit (from my perspective). She then completed 4 marathons and 3 bikini fitness shows winning one of them. Date Night 2018

It was my birthday and unfortunately I had to ship out for three weeks of National Guard training the next day. Steph suggested we go out. She sent me this selfie as I was packing all my gear and asked if I wanted to go downtown. I asked if I could take pictures. She agreed. We went out and got a cheap dress to photograph. As she was getting ready I snapped a photo of her. (I’m so glad I did)...

Robot Body Paint

The final additons to the gallery "Robot". I used a variety of lighting techniques and made a custom LUT in photoshop for this set for the darker images. While I can appreciate the body art and the skill Shay has to paint it, I am more of a fan of more complex body art like the "Anatomy" shoot or even "Rogue" but this is still fun.

Having Fun

Just playing around with some looks. I was too lazy to break out the camera but also I think sometimes cell phone cameras are the best camera for certain settings. There’s a time for portrait camera and a time for a phone camera.

Turning Heads

Sometime I walk 10 paces behind her while we are out on a walk in a city with others walking around. My intent is just to photograph her but It's interesting to see people look at her and then sometimes what they will say if they are with a friend. I’m still thinking on the name to this gallery. Our makeup artist wanted to try this concept. It’s interesting…

Two shoots happened the other day. Here's a quick look. She's always so fun to be around. 

Poker Night

Here's what I have so far. If we are talking fantasies, I'd love to have her be the dealer for a poker night with my friends. Although I dunno I have enough friends to have a good match lol. 

We did not go into this shoot with a poker night in mind. As I started photographing her it reminded me of the girl on the title screen of the World Series of Poker game I play from time to time...

An evening out

I got lucky with the lighting tonight. I debated leaving my camera at home as we went out for a drink. I’m glad I brought it.

After The Shoot

We had the lights out and I briefly tried some bodyscape type shots but it wasn't the focus of the shoot and I did not have the right light set up. But I liked this shot. I may try it in some noir/ black and white to make a separate gallery. 

Spider Gwen

I didn’t realize how transparent the suit was until I started editing the photos. It was fairly dark in the studio so when I brought the exposure up in photoshop you could see right through the suit 😅
