Night Boudior

From yesterday's shoot. I thought she looked very beautiful here. I used one key light (continuous) and 2 practical lights in the background.

Queen’s Chamber

We did some new looks today in my friends studio. We spent the afternoon creating photos and video with several looks to include nude. I’ll have that project ready this week in addition to a few others. Steph is being hired tomorrow to model some sfx makeup for a makeup artist’s portfolio so we will be working that as well.

Lace Lingerie

Part of yesterday's shoot, I'll have much more interesting looks and a video tomorrow.

Recycled

After a client shoot today we re used the backdrop paper. Steph insisted I join her. Yes I had pants on lol. 

I used a doubled stacked 1/4 black mist filter on a 85mm at f1.2 to get the really dreamy haze in the photos. No crazy editing, just simple in camera shots. I got quite a few of Steph along with video so I'll have that for you all soon.

Drama (Continued)

Yesterday I posted about dramatic lighting using natural light, here is a shot using strobe. Strobe used to intimidate me. Not only the technical aspect of connecting it to your camera and adusting the settings, and buying all the hardware, but then the artistic and fundamental ways of using the light.

Traveling

She’s traveling this week, meaning I’m home to fend for myself. We haven’t traveled separately since military days. This is usually the time I get some text to art kinda content… 🤞

Becoming Art

This is on of the first home studio shots I got of Steph. I had seen this pose on a photography forum and really wanted to try it with Steph. I was tired of looking at other models, or photos that I admired and wanted to create for myself. 

While it's a boring composition, I was happy with it and still am. 

2016-2018

What?

Sometimes I am going through old galleries and come across really weird or dumb concepts I wanted to try at the time. I don't know why Steph puts up with it but I am glad she does.

This concept I wanted to make a skirt and top with plastic wrap. I took this one shot, and decided this was dumb and moved on to another concept.

Morning Light BTS/Tutorial (Fox & Appreciation)

I'm not sure this qualifies as a tutorial but it may give you some inspo to put some thought into your photos next time you go take some. You don't need a whole lot of gear just some nice natural lighting and a good angle. A narrative does a photo good too.

The next look/theme we are doing is "Barbie" themed in the next week or so. That concept should have some appreciation tier content as well.

Fur Coat

A throwback to one of my favorite shots of Steph on cold day in the home studio. I had this vision of creating a renaissance style or classical image. I took two versions, one of her looking towards the camera and another where she was looking down. I believe I posted the version where she's looking at the camera already.

A quick artistic summary of the weekend.

I shot this at 120 fps at 4k using a 50 and 85mm lens with a black mist filter on the Canon R5, the stills are using the same camera with natural light.

Friday in a Few Photos

She got the gym in early then we both worked for a client doing some Boudoir photos, then I started editing some of the videos projects I have due for clients.

But we’ve managed to get downtown for the weekend. We’ve got another job to shoot tomorrow morning but plan on doing a shoot for you all tomorrow afternoon.

Bedroom

One lazy afternoon led to a photo session... an authentic moment together. I've posted some of this gallery before and there is still more to showcase... The last photo looks painful but it wasn't...lol Im not sure how we got there but we did.

Fusion (Part 2)

I asked her to make a behind the scenes video to the last shoot we did... it wasn't bad. The intro was a little long and she stole my video but that's okay, I give her a C + lol.

Workouts and a new Edit

Today was a busy day with clients but I managed to get her a few more edits and she sent me some work out selfies.

Today's shoot was a lot of fun. I'm not sure what to call this one. I came up with the lighting concept at the last moment. Any thoughts?

Hit the Showers

Shower Time after a run. She did 6.2 miles I did 5.15. She looked better in the shower though.
