Hello patrons! I'm currently on my parental leave for the month of August, enjoying doing heron dad activities like wadding in shallow waters and being screamed at by my kids!

It'll be a slower month, art wise, as the little time I have left will be put towards finishing what I already owe and just surviving the life of having a very young kid.

A commission that's been.... forever in the making, because I keep on falling in love with the birds I draw. It's Lulu, the very large, very soft vulture lady. She's Grinder's bird and damn, I think she's nice.

I tried a few tricks here to make that shading look extra soft and warm, I think itfits her vintage looks quite a bit.

Bird character designs

Following that poll ya'll filled, here's two very preliminary designs for both our curvy, blue jay lady and our cocky toucan dude. Eventually they'll be fully fleshed with their own ref sheet with front, back biew, and will go to auction. Because THIS TIME... THIS, TIME, I will not fall in love with the characters I create. Right.
