Flip Pages (masks & making friends)

I've been INKING! Here's six pages that (a) introduce one of my favorite side characters of FLIP—Flip's best friend Oliver, and (b) show how Chi-Chi, Esther, and Yesenia met freshman year. From FLIP, pages 127 to 132!

On the Discord server, @Schrödinger's Girlfriend asked the following question about some of the FLIP pages I've shared: "Hello this question is flip related! How do you decide for certain scenes whether you'll have flip and chichi shown on the page as "themselves" or themselves wearing a mask of each other? Is it for conveying certain expressions for certain characters or just visual variety?"

A: That is a GREAT question!

So any time we see Chi-Chi and Flip with masks on, like here—

It's me wanting to show the character acting as themselves, despite the fact that they're switched and are in each other's bodies. I do this a lot when Chi-Chi and Flip are talking to each other, but and are thinking about the same thing.

And, honestly, I do it when Chi-Chi needs more screen time! She's the protagonist and a lot of her most emotional moments happen in Flip's body. It's cool to see his body go through those emotions, but I like to keep Chi-Chi on camera.
