2024-04-07 18:26:11 +0000 UTCHonestly compared to the manga the anime is much kid friendlier in these early arcs, shadow gear was literally crucified nails through their hands and all in the manga, grey vs Lyon the ice tiger literally put a hole through greyβs stomach, the shadow guy from that dark guild with lullaby got a knife in his back instead of a hand being magically thrust through him, fairy tail manga was absolutely brutal compared to the anime. That said I feel the manga and the anime both have their own charms that make them enjoyable

2024-04-07 18:24:52 +0000 UTCong, people say this is a comfort anime all the time and it's all wholesomeness and stuff but this shit gets dark, we literally just saw levi get crucified, you would know since you're on the tower of heaven arc, it's the ultimate overcoming of obstacles together through the power of bonds that makes fairy tail the way it is, they shine in the hardships

"No parent can stand idle when the blood of his children is spilled!" I really love how much Makarov truly cares for the guild, that's a true Master right there, Natsu calls him Gramps, he sees them as his kids, deep down he really is the parent figure... it makes it even more impactful seeing him bloodlusted when shit gets serious
