Super secret Announcement!!!

So I thought I’d give you all a wee lil sneak preview of a secret I’ve been keeping from the internet…

My little houseguest, Charlie Leclerc the kitten!!

She’s currently 10 days old today and doing super well - I didn’t want to announce earlier that I had her on the sad chance that she didn’t make it, as sometimes these extremely young and vulnerable kittens can pass away or deteriorate very quickly. But as she rapidly approaches 2 weeks old, the risk of that decreases every day - there’s still a small chance of her not thriving or catching something, but I’ve been super careful with hand washing, cleaning her materials, and keeping her warm and safe.

The boys are still very much ??? About her and seem a bit intimidated, but Merlin as per usual is the most naturally curious of the bunch and will come up to her cage to give her a sniff every now and then before skulking away again 😂. When she’s over 3 weeks old, I will start to introduce them more, as she will need some older cats to teach her cat manners as a little solo baby.

Officially over 200g now, 202g at her last feed which is a great weight for her age, as she has consistently since day one been eating stupidly well. I do wonder what happened to her mother, but as the practice was in Cornwall where she was brought in, and she was found in the countryside, her mother could be a very young feral or farm cat that had a litter far too young. Young cat mums are notorious for rejecting their litters even if they are healthy, and fortunately these guys were found before they could be predated.

Originally there were three in the litter, but one little boy cat sad died after 2 days and never thrived :’( the other little girl is still alive but was a bit more sickly, so has stayed with one of the nurses from the practice so if she goes downhill she can go back into the vets for treatment as needed, but so far she also seems to be ok!

I like to hope I can put some daily or close to daily updates on here to keep you guys in the loop about her as a special Patreon exclusive!

Also - do you guys like this style of video editing??? Normally one of my lovely editors handles my longer format videos but as a cost saving measure I thought I’d try one myself! If it works let me know and I can bully myself to do more, but if it’s just painfully unfunny then be really honest with me 😂
