black & blue UPDATE

Deutsch: Juhuuu! :D Willkommen im Jahr 2024, meine lieben Patrons! Ich hoffe, ihr seid alle heil und unfallfrei angekommen. Ich freu mich schon total auf dieses neue Jahr zusammen mit euch! Es wird ganz sicher spannend... und heiß werden ÖuÖ

Als erstes gibt's jetzt mal wieder ein kleines b&b Update. Die Feiertage und alle anderen Verzögerungsfaktoren sind jetzt mal für ne Weile aus'm Weg geschafft. Das heißt, es wird und MUSS ab jetzt wieder schneller voran gehen. Denn: Zur Leipziger Buchmesse muss Band 5 fertig sein! Und bestenfalls das Yaoi-Artbook auch. Fun-fact: Das Artbook wollte ich schon letztes Jahr raus bringen. 😅 Das ist offiziell das am öftesten verschobene Projekt, ey. Irgedwie komm ich damit einfach nicht voran. OTL Aber DIESES Jahr ist es soweit! xD I swear!

Jedenfalls: In dieser Szene möchte ich ein für allemal klar machen, mit WAS für einer Art Mensch wir's hier zu tun haben, wenn wir über Derek sprechen. Ich hab ihn anfangs bewusst ambivalent dargestellt, um den Leser ein bisschen zu verunsichern. Da sollte die Spannung aus dem ZWeifel heraus entstehen, ob Derek nicht DOCH vllt. ein bad guy ist und Gogo weh tun will.
Spätestens nach diesem Gespräch sollte klar sein, dass die Bohnenstange sich aktiv BEMÜHT ein guter Mensch zu sein. Gelingt es ihm immer? Nope. But he tries very much! Und das ist schon mehr, als viele Menschen von sich behaupten können. VuV
Die Seite mit den vielen kleinen Menschen hat btw ewig gedauert X,D So ne "evil-version" von Derek zu zeichnen hat aber schon sehr viel Spaß gemacht! :3

Ma gucken, ob beim nächsten Update dann schon der erwachsene Simon seinen Auftritt haben wird.  We will see! Je nachdem, wie viele Seitem ich diese Woche schaffe!

First, here's another little b&b update. We've got the holidays and all the other delaying factors out of the way for a while now. That means things will and MUST move faster again from now on. After all, volume 5 has to be ready for the Leipzig Book Fair! And, at best, the yaoi artbook too. Fun fact: I already wanted to publish the artbook last year. 😅 Yep, that's officially the most postponed project. For some reason I just can't make any progress with it. OTL But THIS year is the year! xD I swear!

However: In this scene, I want to make it clear once and for all WHAT kind of person we're dealing with here when we talk about Derek. I intentionally portrayed him as ambivalent at the beginning to unsettle the reader a little. I wanted the tension to arise from the doubt as to whether Derek might actually be a bad guy who wants to hurt Gogo. 

It should be clear after this conversation at the latest that the beanpole is actively trying to be a good person. Does he always succeed? Nope. But he tries very much! And that is more than many people can claim. VuV

Btw, the page with all the little people took forever X,D But it was a lot of fun to draw an "evil-version" of Derek! :3

Let's see if adult Simon will make an appearance in the next update. Depends on how many pages I get done this week!
