Sunshine Love v0.0.4 Now Available!

Good morning/evening again to all of my loyal supporters.

It’s been a hell of a journey during this first year of creating Sunshine Love, and it’s been wonderful to read all the great comments and feedback from you all regarding the story, our lovely (mainly-female) cast, and the overall game play.

We will certainly be striving to improve the quality in all departments next year and to keep you all entertained so you have even more to look forward to with each update that we put out.

With so many girls for the MC to potentially spend his day with, dividing time between them fairly with each release isn’t always going to be easy.

Our friends over at the Unofficial Discord fan server ran a poll a few months ago to see who your favourite characters were, and we’ve found that in our last update, and even from our preview pic posted last week, there is much love for every single one of our characters.

That’s encouraging to see and it’s exactly what we were hoping for when we created these characters. We wanted to give you as much variety as possible with our potential love interests in the game, and to not make any particular girl the main focus for you, the MC.

A New Member to the MrDotsGames Team!

Before I get to discussing the new update, I’d like to take this opportunity to officially announce and welcome the newest member of our team - NabegoPewu (or “Nab)”!

Nab is highly-skilled and knowledgeable in the area of coding, and he has been a massive help these past few weeks.

We feel very fortunate to have someone like Nab on board, so if you are on the fan discord and you have any coding issues or errors that you don’t recognize or want to mention, then please don’t hesitate to ask him for help. We are sure that Nab will be more than happy to assist you.

Again, welcome to our team NabegoPewu, we already know that the future is looking even better for MrDotsGames now that you are on board :)

About this update (SPOILER ALERT)

For those of you who have played up until the end of the previous update, you will know by now that a big wedding could potentially take place at your childhood friend’s hotel.

However. you will have some set tasks to complete first before this can eventuate.

But fear not! You will have some help from the wonderful ladies that you have already met since you arrived in Sunshine Bay.

There will also be numerous opportunities for you to make an impression on these ladies (as well as scoring points with them) throughout this new update!

If you have the Walk-through, please make sure that you go through it carefully, to not only pick up as many points as possible for each girl that you’re interested in, but to also see what you have to do to view some scenes that you could potentially miss out on.

As mentioned above, not every girl will get a lot of screen time, but that will be hopefully balanced out within the next few updates.

NOTE: There’s a scene midway through the first day of the update where you can offer to help Shortcake at the front desk in reception, on the day of the wedding.

This scene hasn’t been implemented yet, but it will feature in the next release (v.5). So make sure to choose “Offer to help Shortcake” if you want to see this scene in the future.

It’s still early days, and you may need to build up your relationship with some of the ladies in Sunshine Bay first, before you start getting to the “good stuff” with them.

Whereas others might be DTF sooner rather than later! :D

For our $10+ tier members, we have a heap of Donuts for you to find, plus a stack of new Peeping Tom images as well.

IMPORTANT!

As mentioned in our post about Version 3.1 a couple of weeks back, in our previous update of the game you were given two choices during your

last phone call with Nicole:

“Don’t agree” or “Accept her decision”.

We have removed the “Don’t agree” option (staying in a relationship with Nicole). The dialogue that features in this scene will be you, the player,

automatically agreeing to be in an “Open Relationship” with Nicole (for now).

However, early on in this new update (the one you’re about to download and play), you will be given two new options where you can either:

“Agree with her” or “Break up with her”

Here’s what each of these decisions will mean for your future intentions with the girls in Sunshine Bay:

“Agree with her”

This means you will continue to date Nicole, however, you are also free to date other women over the summer.

It will also mean that at some point in the game, Nicole will start to take an interest in the women you’ve been dating, and she’ll want to hear all about it from you!

For those of you looking to build a harem or date a few different girls at once, this is the recommended option.

“Break up with her”

This means that you will officially end your relationship with Nicole. You are free to date whoever you like, completely guilt-free!

For those of you looking to potentially have something serious with one (or maybe even more than one) of the girls in the game, this is the recommended option.

NOTE: Not every potential love interest in Sunshine Bay will be looking for love or a serious relationship - in other words, you won’t be able to have a “happily ever after” with every girl.

Some of the girls will be purely interested in something casual, or a “summer fling” if you will.

Choose wisely here folks. Or better yet, make several “game saves” to see what happens after each option from here until the end of the story!

Final Words

So here it is, the last version of SUNSHINE LOVE for 2020. It is now available for you to download and play!

We hope that you enjoy this latest release, and we really appreciate your patience and support. We also hope that it’s been worth the wait.

Whenever we get to the last week of working on an update, we always wish we had more time and could’ve added more scenes or given more screen time to certain characters.

We are trying to give a fair balance to all of the girls in the game, as we know that among the 5,000+ fans that we now have, you all have your personal favourites or standouts by now. However, there will be the odd three or four girls that will have more prominent roles than others.

With regards to the changes and options we’ve created for your current relationship with Nicole, we’re trying some new things out for these two new paths that will feature in this new update - being single or being in an open relationship.

We’re confident that these two choices, and the path that you decide to pick from here until the end of the game, will be unlike anything you’ve seen in our previous two VN’s.

Hopefully, you’re all still along for the ride when these ideas and plans feature throughout the rest of the game!

Taking some time off:

We’ll also be taking some time off after Christmas and into January, as we haven’t had more than two days off since January 2019.

The last thing any of our team wants is to suffer burnout and we’ve really pushed ourselves to the absolute limit this year.

We’re very relieved to finally take some time away from creating, and to shut our minds down for a few weeks.

Doing this kind of job for a living and being able to make you guys (and girls), our loyal followers happy, means everything to us.

But we also need a break. It’s very much needed, especially after such a tough year, one that has been completely different from any that have come before.

Plans for 2021:

Work will commence on Sunshine Love: Version 5 in late January with a release date to be posted up sometime in February.

The start of Chapter 4, which will be the final chapter of the game, will be released sometime in early-2021.
