Save Files For Melody v0.0.8
Added 2019-02-23 19:06:00 +0000 UTCEvery time a new update gets posted, some of you have trouble loading your old saves.
This isn’t a problem with the game itself, but with the game engine. Unfortunately, new versions of the game won’t fix this most of the time, so if your save doesn’t load, you’ll have to start over again.
I know that some of you might not want to do that, so in order to help you out with this problem, I have decided to upload a list of save files that you can load into your game, so you can continue from where you left off.
All saves are compatible with the latest version (v0.0.8) and they all load at the end of each week (Melody only route and perfect score):
Download the saves here (From week 2 to week 8): Mega - Google Drive
All you have to do is copy the save that you want into your saves folder. It is usually located here:
Windows: Users\*name*\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Melody-SAVES
Mac: ~/Library/RenPy/Melody
Linux: ~/.renpy/Melody
Android: Android\data\com.mrdotsgames.melody\files\saves
Alternatively, you could copy the save into your game's saves directory here:
Melody-0.08\game\saves
IMPORTANT: This will replace the first slot of your saves, so make sure to backup your old saves before.
If you want to change the name of the MC, go to the relationship menu and then click "Your info"
Hopefully this can help you avoid the issue of starting the game over again.

I've never had problems with loading old saves. What I've always done is complete the previous version, get to the Patreon splash page at the end, roll back one screen, then save. Next patch comes out, loads up without a problem. Worked this patch. Something to consider if you have that problem.

2019-02-24 19:35:36 +0000 UTCwhen downloaded, just open the new Melody icon. You mau have to unpack the game first. if that's the case, unpack and when it is done. open via the new icon. ur save will automatically load in to the "new" game.

2019-02-24 11:20:06 +0000 UTCNot sure why but when I tried these saves it would not give the bonus points in new content, when it talked about secrets it had dialogue he was seeing other women instead. For some reason even though it listed Sophia as locked when I started at end of week 7 it unlocks Sophia even though no Sophia romance options or even Lesbian with Melody. Easily worked around, just need to relock Sophia in other girls menu.

2019-02-23 20:36:58 +0000 UTCIf your saves don't show up can't you also go into the most recent version and copy the save files from those directories and paste them in the save section of the new version. Also if you have issues since you are far back i the older version you can just ignore and skip right through. Or am I wrong?
