Catra grew up with a loving mother, a woman who would do anything to give her a better life. They didn't have much which was why it was so important for Catra to go to school to get the chance to support her mother in return. She graduated with a double major in law and social science and the qualifications for taking care of children. She decided she wanted to spend a year doing something different before starting her masters and decided to be a nanny. She decided not to tell her mum, she didn't want her to worry.

Catra experienced an unexpected roadblock when she was repeatedly told she was overqualified. She was also told that 'nanny's don't look like you, I'm not letting you near my husband'. Gross. Catra tries to dress in baggier clothing to seem non-threatening to the wives and mothers but still receives the same response. She 'isn't want they are looking for'.

She is about ready to give up when she meets Swifty, the personal assistant to Ms Grey, who runs her through the interview and seems to think that none of this is a problem. He tells her she's got the job if Finn approves. Apparently the kitten has turned down all the Nanny's they have been presented with. Ms Grey wants her kitten to choose for themselves, which is both sweet and daunting. Catra hopes this meeting goes well.
