The "town leader" is referred to as "Graf Granat". "Graf" is German for "Count" (as in "Count Dracula"). As an historical example, the first significant builder of rigid body dirigible airships was Ferdinand Adolf August Heinrich Graf von Zeppelin, usually referred to in English simply as "Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin".
