Chapter 187

As soon as five hundred points were spent, not only Mor itself, but the entire space everywhere trembled sharply. He didn’t even try to evoke the fruit’s power, as it itself came into action. The man's entire body immediately began to fill with a strange and indescribable feeling of strength. Fever mixed with something so pleasant it couldn't even be described ...

Standing at the moment in the middle of the air, Mor involuntarily raised his head to the heavens. Everything around him began to distort, as if from a monstrous heat, and then cracks began to form around him. The space was literally torn apart and the brightest stars appeared through the blue skies. They were now close, now unimaginably far, as if each gap touched a certain space completely unrelated to this place. In just one instant, Mor was in an amazing place, without an ocean under his feet and a sky over his head. The clouds were gone and the blinding sun was gone. Even the world he was in seemed to have no meaning. But that intoxicating sense of power continued to build.

Mor was in a strange place, as if among huge fragments of mirrors through which different star systems were visible. It was like dozens of doors to completely different places and they all seemed to be calling out to his power of the fruit, wanting to touch it. But Mor did not move, and the fragments of space replaced each other faster and faster. And now, after an unknown amount of time, the stars disappeared, only darkness remained, and amazing changes suddenly began to occur in this bottomless darkness.

In the darkest darkness a fog suddenly appeared, at first it would have been gray and imperceptible, but then it began to glow with a dull glow. This glow grew, as did the fog filling everything and everyone. A second and this fog overwhelmed the darkness, covering every part of it, hiding the fragments of star systems. There was nothing left in space except the growing fog, slowly brightening and filling everything around.

The fog concentrated and its pale shade of blue became stronger, and after a while, the fog became so dense that the Pestilence was in this endless concentrated cloud. It was difficult to even call it a cloud, this fog seemed to have no end, it appeared out of nowhere and became stronger and stronger in its glow and concentration. Mor all this time indulged in the feeling of power overflowing his body, and only now he noticed what was happening.

“This place…” He could barely see, but at the same time it was completely unimportant. This fog was like his skin, he felt it as a part of his body. Even being hundreds of kilometers away, Mor fully felt everything that was in him, and even more strongly he felt this terrifying weight and strength of this blue energy. This power was so great that it was even difficult to describe. This was the true power of the Devil Fruit of the Universe.

- Could there be such a strong fruit? Amazing! - inhaling this fog with a deep chest, Mor could only be amazed at what was happening. Now, although he was enveloped in a familiar power, he could not even figure out how to get out of here and whether he could ever escape? This fog was in a different place, in a different world. Mor definitely felt it. But how was it possible? World of One Piece, after all, it was he who owned the devil fruits, so how could this power be from here?

On reflection, the man began to understand a little:

“The power is not from here ... Rather, it’s just that something brought me here. The fog itself comes from everywhere. Perhaps this is where it originated? Or have I somehow transcended the normal limits of the Devil Fruit and was able to touch the origins of its power? It's hard to say ... "Closing his eyes and once again merging with this terrifying feeling of power, Mor smiled.

Thus, more time passed. The fog grew stronger and heavier. Mor felt an even greater connection with him, and in the place where he disappeared, amazing anomalies occurred.

A huge black crack appeared in the middle of the air, it did not grow much, only ten meters in height and two in width. But this crack was terribly strange. Everything around a hundred meters from her was immediately subjected to monstrous pressure. Any fish that encountered this power instantly turned into a bloody mist and were scattered across the sea. From that day on, this place turned into a death zone with an eternally black crack in space. Even the strongest of this world were unable to approach more than fifty meters to this crack, and it continued to stand there in eternity ... Perhaps no one will ever know how it appeared and will not reveal the secret of what lies on the other side.

At the same time, the fog around Mora completely thickened and at the same moment, everything around trembled. All this luminous bundle of energy suddenly, for some unknown reason, rushed into the human body. Mor did not even have time to try to open his eyes, as part of the fog had already merged with his body. When he finally opened them, the darkest darkness reigned around. All the energy was absorbed by his body without a trace. There was nothing left ... As much as he wanted, but the fruit was limited in energy, all this received power of the fog was the last possible, his mortal body had reached the limit of possible capacity. The Devil Fruit was no longer able to develop. Thus, everything was completed.

Peering into the darkness, Mor began to feel pressure, as if something were pushing him out. In fact, it was so. His body dissolved into emptiness and in just a few moments he disappeared, again finding himself in that place among the strange fragments of space, through which one could see whole star systems of different places. But the buoyancy force, which Mor could hardly resist, did not stop there, with even greater power it continued to push him out of space. If Mor had wished to stay, he could have held out for a while, but it would have been only seconds. Therefore, he did not even try, he knew that he would return, although he did not know when ... But now he had to leave. The stars will wait.

And now, again the blue sky, the windless sea and the oppressive force around. Mor reappeared in his world. Only this time, he felt terribly strange. Noticing a black crack in front of him, he involuntarily shuddered:

- What a power, horror ... - Trying to feel the world around, Mor immediately frowned. The will here was harshly suppressed by this repulsive force and the insane pressure of space. This pressure was even similar to the gravitational pressure from its force of the fruit, although it was somewhat different.

Shaking his head, Mor chuckled wryly.

- Looks like my fruit has created an unpleasant problem. I doubt it will be safe to swim here now. A place like this is scarier than the Florian Triangle. Although, the main thing here is not to overdo it and not tempt fate. If you don't go against the pushing force, it won't crush you to death. So it is not fatal. But if you go far, the pressure will already be connected there, and now it will be able to crush the zealous pirates. Although, for training, the place will do. Only the ship is unlikely to be able to sail, here only fishmen or non-fruit people can walk around.
