The Twelve Talisman: The Snake Talisman (Com)

Commission for Last_of_workers

Jackie Chan, Adventures, is an American animated television show that was popular in the early two thousands. Though it’s been two decades since the show ended, there is still a friend group that originally came together thanks to the show.

Even to this day, their friendship is strong and their love for the show is even stronger. So when Ryker was stumbling around an old antique shop and found a set of twelve talismans that looked identical to the ones from the first season he couldn't resist buying it.

There was only one set, and he wanted to share this amazing find with his friends, luckily there were twelve talismans and twelve of them. So he handed everyone a talisman to keep, that way they had something to always remember about the show.

What Ryker didn’t expect was for all the talismans to activate and shine brightly. One moment they were all in the same room, and the next they were teleported across the world, transformed, and given powers.

Micah woke up to find herself lying on the ground in a random forest. That wasn’t the strangest place she’s woken up before. She’d just pick herself up and find her way home, well she normally would have, but there was a problem this time.

She had no arms, or legs for that matter, and she strangely felt tube-shaped. When she tried to move she found herself rolling at worst and slithering at her best, but why on earth would she be slithering around?

A memory flashed before her eyes formed tight before she ended up here. She was with her friends and Ryker was handing out some prop talismans from the Jackie Chan show they all loved. When she looked at hers, it was the snake talisman.

She remembered being excited about it and even imagined having the power that the talisman granted, the power to turn invisible. Then a bright light flashed and she blacked out, waking up here. The way her body felt, waking up here, and feeling strange all pointed to one thing.

Micah took a deep breath and moved her body around so her head could see most of it, and sure enough she was a small little snake slithering around in the woods. It seems the talismans are real and indeed magical, and it turned her into a real snake.

Had this been a controlled environment and she knew she could turn back, she wouldn't mind at all getting the chance to be a snake, but she’s alone in the woods and basically helpless, which is pretty scary.

What was she supposed to do? Try to return to the city where her friends should be. Would they even be there? After all, she was teleported away and turned into an animal, the same thing probably happened to them.

Plus going into the city would be dangerous, any person who saw her would freak out, and she wasn’t willing to risk death just to get back, so she had to make the best of her situation and live as a snake until turned back, well at least she hopes she turns back.

So for the next couple of hours, Micah practiced moving her body, and it went poorly, but it was her first day as a snake, and each attempt did get better. Eventually, she managed to figure it out enough to move around.

Micah managed to get to a nearby puddle of water. She attempted to drink from it, but she couldn't figure out how, putting her face into the water and trying her tongue both didn't work, so she gave up and just slithered through it.

Then she heard some flapping, likely from birds, but for some reason, it sounded like it was following her. She turned her head and looked around, and sure enough there was a hawk watching her like well a hawk.

Micah knew this was bad and started to slither as fast as she could, but she heard the hawk screech and start to fly. Micah felt herself pinned to the ground by the claws of the hawk and knew if she didn’t do something she would die.

She hissed, telling her body to do something, then asking the talisman to help her. The hawk then got quiet and stopped putting as much pressure on her with its claw. Micah looked over to see why. That’s when she discovered her body was invisible.

The hawk was confused, probably because it couldn't see her, but could still feel her, which meant she wasn't out of the woods yet, she needed something else to happen. If only she was human again, she could grab the hawk and chuck it into the sky.

The hawk squawked a bit, and Micah realized her body was changing, even if she couldn't see it. At some point, it felt as though she had hands again, and that she was huge. So she grabbed the hawk, which scared him to death, literally.

With the danger passed, Micah was able to relax a bit, which meant her invisibility wore off, making her new transformation completely visible to her, and was she surprised by what she saw. Even though she had arms again, she hadn't turned back into a human.

Instead, she was half snake half human, almost like a Nagi, and yes she means the female version of Naga because she was very much a female now. The breasts on her chest made that very obvious, but then there was her short but cute styled hair and wide hips.

She honestly wasn't surprised, she was turned into a monster that could shift between half snake and full snake, why not add being a girl to the magic? She sighed, at least she had arms, and it was easier for her to move around in this form.

Still, there was no way she could go through a town looking like this, but she had a better shot having a human upper half, she just needed a way to hider her lower half, which was basically just a very long thick tail.

Micah looked down at her hands, which still had a dead hawk in them, and she thought about tossing it, but something about it seemed desirable. She knew it was gross, but her instincts told her to eat it, and she was hungry and it was hard to resist.

So she put the art of it in her mouth and it didn’t taste bad at all, in fact, it was pretty good, but maybe it helped that she didn’t have to chew it since she swallowed it hole and felt it fall into the snake part of her body for digestion.

Now with a little snack in her belly, she was feeling pretty positive. So went back to slithering through the forest, this time much faster since she was so much larger. She eventually made it to a road, which was good, a real paved road meant civilizations were at least nearby.

She followed the road, making sure to stay hidden in the woods as she went until she found a road sign. She was excited to see that it was a road sign pointing towards the direction of her city, and it was only twenty miles away.

That wasn't far, so the only thing she had to worry about was her body. The woods she was in stopped way before the city so unfortunately she couldn't use it to go all the way, but there was a popular campsite that might help her out.

So she slithered on over. Campers are usually cooler when it comes to wildlife like snakes, so she’d have less to worry about in her full snake form. So she transformed into it and slithered around the campers without them knowing.

She was hoping to find someone who lived in her city and that she could sneak into their vehicle to get home, but she’d have to do some eavesdropping and hope someone mentioned it, or else she’d be slithering as a small snake the whole way.

After an hour of not finding anyone she knew lived in the city she decided to start making her way on her own, but someone spotted her and grabbed her. He seemed to think she was harmless and was showing her off to all his friends.

He had her by the head, so there wasn't much she could do. If she transformed back into her half-snake form, she’d freak everyone out and cause panic. So she let him have fun and hoped he’d let her go, but that didn’t happen, instead, he shoved her in a bucket and intended to take her home.

She did try to transform back at this point, she wasn't whilling to be taken, but the bucket was too small and it ended up hurting, so she was stuck in his bucket overnight, and the entire following day. She saw light again when the lid of the bucket was removed and she was dumped into a large tank.

The guy intended to keep her as some sort of pet, which she was not okay with. So as soon as he left the room she slithered up the side of the tank and pushed the net off, lucky for her this guy was an idiot.

She now had to get out of there, but doing it in her half-snake form or her full-snake form would be hard. If only she were able to become fully human, she might be able to walk right out of here. Like before, her body started to shapeshift.

In a few seconds, she went from a small snake to an ordinary girl, albeit one with green hair and pointy ears and teeth. It didn’t matter though she could get out of there and return home with no problem.

Then a problem opened the door to the bedroom she was in. Her kidnapper had come back and immediately noticed the snake was gone and that Micah was in his room. He instantly put two and two together and realized she was some sort of snake shapeshifter.

He made it very clear he wasn't letting her escape, as she was worth too much money. He went to grab her and she panicked, which triggered her invisibly. That allowed her to run out of the room and downstairs while the guy freaked out looking for her.

She was about to run out the front door, but she saw the guy's keys hanging up by it and came up with another plan. She was going to steal his car and drive herself home. It wasn't a fair punishment, as she should eat the guy for kidnapping her, but she was whilling to settle with the car.

So while her kidnapper searched for her in his house, she went to his garage, unlocked his car, and drove off. Because of how long she was in the bucket, it was going to take about a day to get back to her city.

She’d have to ditch the car at some point, as that guy would call it in as stolen, but at least now she can use a human form, so it’s only a matter of time until she makes it back to the place all her friends hang out.

Invisibility is an awesome power with so many uses. I think in the Chinese horoscope I'm a tiger, and my parents are both dragons. Also Viper is awesome C:

Riley

Wow, I was really looking forward to this story... You see, I myself am a snake according to the Chinese horoscope and I was delighted after the ability of this talisman was shown in the series. This is a really very useful ability - invisibility! And Viper is just a wonderful character (if you watched the series, you know what I’m talking about)... In general, the snake mascot is probably my favorite. and thank you very much Riley for bringing his story to life so quickly
