Brian was excited to finally wear his costume tonight. It wasn't very good, because he bought most of the pieces and put them together by hand, but to him it was perfect. Tonight he’d be trick or treating as Bridget from Guilty Gear.
Brian did like the character but that wasn’t why he chose it. He chose to be Brisget because Brian has always wanted to dress up like a girl, but was constantly afraid of others judging him or thinking something was wrong with him.
So he decided this year for Halloween he’d be Bridget. It was honestly a pretty good choice. The character wore a cute outfit which included a skirt, but was secretly a boy. So Brian planned to use that as the excuse for why it was okay for him to dress up like this.
He really didn’t think it through, but he was too excited about it and went through with it. Once it got dark he went and changed into his costume. He grabbed everything and laid it out on top of his bed. He got undressed and picked up the underwear he bought for the costume.
Just a black pair of panties that covered a large area and would hide his bulge. After that were his ankle-high white socks. Next was the skirt, which he pulled up to his waist, which meant it now just barely kept his crotch covered.
Following that came the sweater. It was actually his grandmother's that he was borrowing. Brian was so happy when he saw it because it had white sleeves which made up for the sleeves the hoodie he bought were missing.
So he didn’t have to sew anything together which was great, as he was terrible at it. Finally, after that was the wig. He had bought a wig online, and it was far better than the rest of his costume and had even come with a hair net.
So he put up his hair and put the wig on. He was not at all used to having longer hair, and had no idea what to do with it all. He did like how it felt, but it got in the way a lot, so he cut a small hole in the back of the hoodie and fed the hair through it so it no longer bunched up on his neck.
With that done, he was now ready to head off into the world. He left his apartment and met up with his friends who immediately had questions about what he was wearing. To which he used his excuse.
They didn’t seem to care either way, as long as they were soon to have a bag full of candy. So off they went trick or treating from house to house. Several times the people living there would call Brian cute and mistake him for a girl.
This made him blush every time and feel really good, which his friends noticed and asked him about, and he just brushed it off saying it was easier to let them think that than explain his character was really a boy.
His friends looked at each other, laughed at that, and continued on the candy-gathering quest. Two hours passed and the group was swimming in candy. So much so they were working on the last block before they called it quits.
They passed by a house that had a huge mech sitting in the front yard. It was clear people were there but they were partying and likely weren't giving out candy, so Brian’s group went to the next building and started knocking on apartment doors.
After they finished that, Brian’s friends said they were done. Apparently, the one wearing a full King Kong suit was sweating to death and severely dehydrated, so he was taking off his suit this instant and walking home in his underwear.
The other was wearing a killer clown outfit, which was just a flimsy clown one-piece and wig, both of which he pulled off instantly to reveal the normal clothes he was wearing underneath. They both looked at Brian and asked if he was going to take his off.
For the most part, Brian’s costume was normal clothes, and he wasn’t overheated due to his legs being exposed. So he decided to keep it all on, just in case there were any more houses to stop by on their way home.
One of them made a joke about it sounding more like he wanted more time to wear a skirt, to which Brian got extremely embarrassed and denied that accusation. They began to head home leaving the way they came.
They passed by the party that was next door and saw a girl dressed up as a fox knocking on the door. Brian was curious if they actually had candy, but his friends hadn't stopped so he sped up to catch them before they left him behind.
As they reached the end of the street, a burst of light came from behind them and completely blinded them even though they weren't looking at it. When it went away all three of them turned around to look towards where it came from.
But there wasn’t anything out of place. So they went to once again leave, when Brian’s friend, currently walking in his underwear, looked at Brian and said something was off. Brian looked at him and asked what he meant.
He wasn’t sure, but he could swear Brian looked more like a girl than a moment ago. Brian was both embarrassed and secretly excited hearing her friend say that, but once again tried to make an excuse about it just being the costume.
Brian’s other friend agreed with the other one, saying she looked way different now. Brian tried to say she didn’t feel different and looked down at herself. That’s when her friend in the other one came around from behind and grabbed Brian’s chest.
This wasn’t normally all that weird for them, but no Brian had two very small bumps there that were very sensitive to being touched. It caused her to yell and push off him and slap him in the face, all while covering her chest.
Her friend wasn't even mad about being slapped and said he knew what breasts felt like, and Brian definitely had some now. Brian still didn’t believe him, so she checked herself, and sure enough, there was a very small set there.
She began to panic a bit and checked under her skirt, and her underwear was also empty now. Somehow Brian was a girl now. She placed her hands on her face and asked how this could have happened.
Her friends didn’t know, but what they did know was it happened after the light passed by. They also looked around and it seemed Brian wasn’t the only one affected. Someone was literally flying off in a real-life Iron Man suit.
So it seemed the light turned everyone wearing a costume into a real version of their character. Brian then asked how that would turn her into a girl, Bridget was actually a boy. Hearing that, her friends began to laugh again.
She finally asked them what was so funny, and they told her. Bridget was now confirmed to be a trans girl. Brian went silent. She had no idea… Although it did make a lot of sense for the character and was actually really cool.
Brian then got super embarrassed and asked why they didn’t tell her before. They just smiled and said it was clear she was in the closet and really wanted to wear girl’s clothes, and since Brian was shy and embarrassed about it, they didn’t want to ruin her night.
She stopped being so embarrassed, it was actually super sweet of them, and it felt really good to know they supported her no matter what, but were they right, was she secretly a closeted trans girl? She once again looked down at herself.
Her new body didn’t even bother her, it was mostly the anxiety of what others would think of her, now that she’d calmed down, her heart was fluttering. She looked up at them and smiled, saying they had to be right.
They both got beside her and hugged her and they continued to walk home. As they were walking, Brian still had no idea why her body completely changed, but she figured maybe the light turned her into the essence of her costume, which was a girl.
She then looked at her friends carrying their costumes and made a joke about them being really lucky. They seemed confused about it, but when they looked at their costumes they realized they could have become a real King Kong or killer clown, both things they didn't want.
They let out awkward laughs as they contemplated their potential fates, relieved that they were spared, and all three of them went home to rest up and eat candy at Brian’s house. The next morning, the news was covering the event that turned a ton of people into their costumes.
They didn’t have an exact number of affected people, but it was estimated to be at least a thousand. With some people fully transforming into their costumes and some only getting abilities or minor transformations. The news then showed videos of a few people.
From a two-tailed cat and three-headed dog arguing in front of some cafe, to a child who was wearing a dinosaur costume and had incredible strength and could breathe fire and even a group of people fighting each other for fun to test their abilities.
Things were a little chaotic, but for Brian, it wasn’t. Her parents asked how she turned into a girl, and instead of telling them about the character, she blamed it on wearing her grandmother's sweater, which made sense to them.
So after going to the authorities and proving she had changed, they allowed Brian to change her identity to avoid confusion in the future. They even let her change her name, and she decided to borrow her new one, now she was Bridget inside and out.
In the months that followed, Bridget went back to school, which was super amazing for her because she got to wear her first school uniform, and she began to collect other cute clothes. She even made some new girlfriends, but still mostly hung out with her guy friends who supported her.
Several years later, Bridget had fully adapted to her new life and was super happy. Unlike a lot of others who transformed, she didn’t use her abilities or image to make money or do cool action things, but instead to help people.
She started a charity, one that helps spread awareness and support for the LGBT+, but more specifically trans people. Every year they hold a massive fundraiser to fund the charity, using the money, they help trans people afford care and fight against hate and awful anti-trans laws.
It’s by no means an easy job, but it has to be done, and she’s super proud to have become who she is now. She wants to be able to help others in the same way, so she’ll continue to fight to make the world a better place.
