The Costume Party: Shinano (Com)

Zephyr was at their home playing video games when their older sister came in holding one of those black dry cleaner bags. Zephyr’s sister Rubi was going out tonight with her friends to go trick or treating, so they figured it was her costume and she wanted to show it off.

Zephyr was originally born as a male but came out as non-binary and feminine leaning at around twelve, ever since Zephyr and their sister have been super close, with Rubi always getting dresses and cute clothes for them to try on.

So she knew Zephyr would just love her new costume. She pulled it all off and showed it to Zephyr. The costume was of Shinano from the game Azur Lane, which Zephyr and their sister played a bit due to loving the characters.

Zephyr was a little surprised she got that character as it was Zephyr’s favorite and not hers, in fact, if they remember correctly, Rubi liked Akagi more, so why wouldn't she have gotten a costume of her instead?

Zephyr didn’t say that, instead, they complemented the costume saying it looked really cute. That seemed to make Rubi smile and she handed the costume to Zephyr. They were confused and asked why she was handing it to them.

Rubi said it was so she could take some good pictures of the costume, and said Zephyr normally tested out her clothes so she could take pictures. She was right, Zephyr did do that a lot, mostly because their sister was always getting new cute clothes that they really wanted to try on.

This costume was no different. Zephyr took it, got into their underwear, and began to pull the pieces of the costume out. They started with slipping on the thigh-high white socks, and then they put on the geta’s which made them much taller than they were expecting.

After that came my main dress, which fit nearly perfectly, with only the chest area being loose. Rubi noticed and ran over to Zephyr’s closet and pulled out a set of large breast forms that Zephyr used from time to time.

She helped get them in place and used a special adhesive to attach them to Zephyr’s chest. Now the chest area of the costume was filled out perfectly. Zephyr let out a smile and then started putting up their hair.

Once it was up, they got a hair net and put it over their entire head. Then they grabbed the long wig with the two very cute fox ears attached to hit and swung it over their head, getting in place over their real hair.

Now with the costume on, Zephyr turned towards their sister so she could take some pictures. Rubi though asked if Zephyr could go over and put on some makeup to help with the look. Normally Zephyr wouldn't put makeup on just to take it off afterward, but this was a special occasion.

They wanted to keep some of the pictures Rubi was going to take, so they wanted to look really good, and since Zephyr knew the character it wouldn’t be that hard to use makeup to look more like her.

Zephyr sat down at their desk and started working on their makeup. Rubi left the room saying she’d be back in a few minutes to take the photos, and Zephyr gave a wave to her as she left the room. About ten minutes later after putting makeup on and doing some retouches, Zephyr was done.

Zephyr waited a few more minutes for their sister to come back, but it didn't seem like she was coming. So Zephyr went out into the living room and looked around, she wasn’t out there either. Their parents were, and both of them told Zephyr they were looking super cute.

Zephyr thanked them and headed to Rubi’s room, and like a typical sibling opened the door without knocking. That’s when they saw Rubi at her desk doing her makeup, but the strangest part was, she was wearing an entirely different costume.

Rubi was fully dressed in an Akagi costume, which made more sense than her wearing the Shinano one. Zephyr looked at her for a moment and then asked why she got both costumes. Rubi turned around and smiled at Zephyr.

She admitted she had gotten it for Zephyr, and she expected them to wear it tonight to go trick or treating. Zephyr rubbed their head and told her they hadn't planned on going trick or treating this year, since all their friends were busy.

Rubi nodded and said that was exactly why she did this, so they wouldn't feel left out. Zephyr thanked her but said they really didn't want to impose on her and her friends. That caused Rubi to laugh.

She told Zephyr that she already cleared it with them, plus they liked Zephyr, so they wouldn't be a bother at all, especially since they’d all be going as characters from Azur Lane as well. Zephyr looked a bit excited, they’d never done a group cosplay and knew this was going to be great.

Zephyr couldn't help themselves from doing a twirl and going to wait for Rubi in the living room. A few minutes later Rubi came out and they left the house to meet up with Rubi’s friends. They took way too many photos, especially of Zephyr.

Then for the next several hours, they went trick or treating. Everyone had a very full sack of candy and proudly patted themselves on the back on their massive candy scores. With a ton of candy in hand, the group agreed to call it for the night.

So they agreed to have dinner together. Two of Rubi’s friends agreed to go order the pizza and carry them to the park nearby, while Rubi offered to run to the park and secure a spot for them, and her other two friends were going to run home and get some plates and cups.

That left Zephyr going to a local convenience store to pick up some soda. So they ran as fast as they could to get to the store and bought everyone's favorite drink. They were going to head back, but they noticed a party going on at a local small apartment building.

With that many people, they were sure to have candy and Zephyr didn’t believe in too much candy unlike their fellow party members, so they quickly ran over to knock on the door. They were surprised to see a massive mech suit chained up outside.

They took a picture of it and went to the door and knocked on it. Zephyr was met with someone wearing a Bowsette cosplay. The Bowsette gawked over Zephyr's costume and said they were so cute, accidentally calling them a cute girl, but they let it slide in exchange for candy.

Bowsette said that not many people came this far, but he still had candy to give out, so Zephyr left with nearly half their stash. They were giddy as they reached the end of their walkway to head back out towards the park, but then they heard a noise and turned around.

Following that they were blinded by such a bright light they fell backward onto the ground, luckily not spilling any candy. They wiped their eyes and looked back at the door. Nothing was coming from it now, so it must have been a really powerful flashlight or something.

They stood up, brushed themself off, and continued on their way to the park. Once they arrived they met up with Rubi and her friends who all looked at them strangely. No one said anything and thanked Zephyr for the drinks, then everyone enjoyed a meal together.

Afterward, they all said their goodbyes and began to walk home. Rubi and Zephyr were about halfway home when they noticed Rubi staring at them. Zephyr asked what was up and Rubi just tilted her head and said something was different about them.

Zephyr was now confused and asked what. Rubi wasn't sure and just put her hand on her chin as she thought about it. That’s when Zephyr’s ear twitched and she seemed like she had an idea. Rubi reached up and grabbed Zephyr’s fox ears.

Suddenly an intense sensitive feeling shot throughout Zephyr’s head, and they were begging Rubi to let go. Rubi then proudly said she knew it, she could have sworn Zephyr’s fox ears were moving, and they were because they were real.

Rubi’s eyes then got wide when she said that, she then asked Zephyr how their fox ears became real. Zephyr still confused asked what she was talking about. Zephyr tried to remove the wig to prove they weren't real, still completely ignoring the feeling in their ears they felt a moment ago.

That’s when they learned they were no longer wearing a wig. Zephyr panicked a bit and continued to pull on their hair. Rubi had to stop them before they hurt themself, and they continued to look over Zephyr’s body.

Rubi upon looking at Zephyr’s chest asked if the breast forms had become real breasts, as they didn't look to have a seam anymore. Zephyr reached their hands up and moved their breasts around to see, and sure enough she now had permanently large breasts.

Zephyr was bright red and trying to figure out how this was possible, and Rubi continued to ask questions about what else had become real, eventually leading to the question about Zephyr's crotch. Zephyr looked at Rubi and nodded, saying it had to of, as their underwear wasn't as tight.

Rubi said that was fascinating, but still didn't understand how it happened. Zephyr explained being outside a house when it happened and about the light, and that was all they knew about it. That wasn't much to go over, and as it was late they didn’t have time to investigate today.

So they went home and met up with their parents who noticed immediately that their child had turned into a fox girl and asked what happened. After once again explaining, Zephyr watched as they tried to process this.

They then asked if Zephyr was okay with it, or if they should go to the police or something. Zephyr is once again shocked by how supporting their parents are looked down on them. They still felt like they were nonbinary, but they’ve always favored the more feminine side of things.

So not having to worry about a bulge in their underwear, or how sweaty breast forms can be will make life a bit easier, but they weren't exactly thrilled that they’d have to have large breasts from now on, or even deal with having fox ears instead of normal ears.

But they did prefer this body over their old one, so they told that to their parents, who seemed happy just because they were happy. So when the next day came around, instead of trying to figure out what happened Zephyr and Rubi went bra shopping together to get Zephyr some bras that fit.

About a year afterward during the next Halloween, Zephyr was once again trick or treating with their sister and friends, but this time they split off when they met another girl who had been transformed during the same event as her last year.

They really hit it off, and not long after wards started dating. Now they’re in a very committed and happy relationship and heading off to college. Speaking of which, Zephyr got into a pretty good school for fashion and design.

They plan to start making all of their own clothes and hopefully starting a fashion line, and of course, occasionally making custom cosplay costumes for themself and their sister. They have a very long happy future to look forward to, all inspired by a witch at a costume party that they weren't even invited to.
