The Costume Party: Cerberus and Nekomata (Com)

Brady and Elian have known each other since they were about six, and have been constantly in each other's life since, but not in the way you may think. They’re not friends, not even close, and they can't stand each other.

They’re both competitive, which led to them becoming lifelong rivals. In kindergarten it was who could learn their ABCs first, in middle school it was who could make more friends, in high school it was who was better at sports, then finally college, it was who could get laid more.

Then they graduated, which meant they needed to get jobs and an apartment to live in. Somehow, without either one intending for it, they not only live side by side, but they both work at cafes that are right across from each other.

Now that wouldn't be all that bad, they could ignore each other in their apartments, and they would be busy inside the cafe working right? They were not that lucky, both of them ended up being hired as street barkers, and it was now their job to draw in customers.

Now they spend every day trying to one-up the other and get more customers. They’ve been doing this for little under a year, so they were both surprised to find out that as part of their jobs, they’d have to wear a costume of the store's mascot.

Brady arrived at work and went into the back to find the bag that had his costume in it. His boss had ordered him one to wear a few weeks ago and it had just managed to arrive for today's event. Brady opened it to get ready.

He took one good look at it and called out to his boss. She came around back and asked him what the problem was. Brady showed her the costume which was clearly a female version. His boss said they must have mixed it up, but said it looked like it should still fit.

He was then ordered to put it on or she’d fire him. Brady looked at it and a thought appeared in his head. If he didn't do this and got fired his rival would finally beat him. He then took the costume to the bathroom to change. He was more than whilling to put his pride aside to not lose to Elian.

Meanwhile across the street. Elian was at his store looking through the newly delivered packages looking for the costume he was supposed to wear. That’s when his boss came around and asked him what he was doing.

When Elian explained his boss looked a bit embarrassed and admitted he forgot to order one for him. Then he said to just go into the back and get the one from last year. His boss then went back to work while Elian went and got the costume.

Elian opened it and saw a dress inside. He sighed, he figured it was going to be a woman's costume, as he remembered seeing the girl wearing it last year. He thought about leaving it, but he knew his boss would be mad.

Then he thought about his rival. Imagine embarrassing his rival by wearing this. He’d be able to get more customers this way. Elian ran to the bathroom and began to get changed into his costume. Then a few minutes later the rivals walked outside.

Elian worked at a cafe called Two Tails, and its mascot was a white Nekomata. So when he walked outside, he was wearing a long white wig, with cat ears attached, a cat collar, a white dress, paw mittens, paw shoes, and finally two tails clipped onto his dress.

Brady worked at a cafe called Three Heads, and its mascot was a Cerberus. So Elian was wearing fake dog ears on his hair, with two fake girl heads attached to his shoulders. Below that he was nothing but a revealing black dress, with thigh-high boots that had a dog paw shape on the bottom.

They looked at each other and were a bit embarrassed, it was hard to tell since they both looked pretty convincing as girls, but they knew the other was the one dressed up across from them. Then their competitiveness kicked in as people started to appear for the Halloween festival.

They began trying to get people to go into their cafe and even played into their characters a bit. Elian would get on the ground and meow at people, and Brady would bark at people to get their attention and lead them to the cafe.

This went on for about an hour as people flooded in for the festival, after that the amount of people settled down a bit more but stayed steady enough for both cafes to have customers. That was also when both of them were sent on their breaks.

Now like every day the two of them confront each other to brag about how good they did today or trash talk the other as they head down the street to the nearest convenience store so they can pick up lunch and a soda.

After buying their meal and sitting outside on a bench together to eat. They started with comparing customer totals, which Brady won, and then costume compliments which Elian won. Then they were about to make fun of each other for crossdressing when they were suddenly hit by a light.

Both of them felt strange and looked at each other. They both notice that somehow the other's costume looked more convincing than before, almost like it was life-like. Elian could have sworn the extra heads on Brady’s shoulders were moving on their own.

Brady also noticed that Elian’s tails were moving around. Both of them were intrigued as to why the other's costume got better suddenly but didn't say anything as that would involve admitting the other's costume was good.

So they went back to work and finished their shifts. By the end of it, both of them were too tired to change at work, so they wore their costumes home. They gave each other one tired angry look as they both walked into their apartments and slammed the door.

Both walked inside and removed as much of their costume as they could. That’s when they learned some of their costumes were now permanently a part of their body. Elian learned that her hands and feet really were paws, and she now had two tails.

Brady finally realized she had three heads, which became distorting as she was suddenly in full control of them, and her vision was being split in several different directions, as before she hadn't noticed and they were all focused in the same direction.

After the two adjusted to those changes, they both realized the major change, they were both females now. In the moments that followed, all their neighbors heard a cat hissing and three dogs barking.

Elian and Brady met in the hall, half-naked and yelling at each other. They each blamed the other for this change and demanded to be turned back. It took about an hour, but they both settled down and realized the other had nothing to do with this.

Elian was then going to try and find something on the internet that might explain what happened to them, but that’s when Brady got competitive again. She made fun of Elian for not being able to handle the changes, and that she was just a frady cat who was jealous of her massive breasts.

Brady then carried her breasts in front of Elian, who turned bright red. She lied and said she wasn't jealous, then retorted back that she’d never be jealous of a dumb horny dog. The two continued to argue until they fell asleep on Elian’s couch together.

Due to their competitiveness, they never got the chance to figure out what happened to them or how to change back. Instead, they continued to live life like nothing ever changed and continued to work their jobs like normal, despite all their coworkers being confused about what happened to them.

Their bosses loved it, they had real versions of their mascots working for them, and drawing in tons of customers because they wanted to play with the two-tailed cat or three-headed dog. They ended up giving them both raises to make sure they stayed working there.

A couple of months later, they’re still up to their normal cat and dog routine. They compete during work and argue on their way home. They each enter their apartments and change, and then after a few minutes, one of them heads next door.

After that, they still argue a bit, but in private it’s become more playful. Neither one has admitted it yet, but they’re madly in love with each other, but the first person to confess will end up losing and they’re both too competitive to lose.

Yet they still hug and kiss often and they’ve slept together more times than they can remember, and they always sleep in the same bed, of course, each of them curls up into their own little ball, but they lay side by side when they do it.

Their lives are a bit trickier now, being a dog and cat girl has its ups and downs, but where one has trouble the other helps them out, you know so they can brag about it. Their world was forever changed, all because of a witch at a costume party they weren't even invited to.
