Darth Vader, formerly known as the Jedi Anakin Skywalker. He had just turned on the emperor and helped his son Luke defeat the Sith. He was now sitting on the hatch door of some ship, talking with his son for what seemed to be the last time. “Luke, help me take this mask off.” He asked so that he could look at him with his real eyes, and not through the lens of his helmet. “I've got to save you.” Luke says as he looks at his father. “You already have, Luke. You were right about me.” After their conversation, Anakin Skywalker, now redeemed, passed away. When his eyes closed for the final time, everything felt peaceful, he assumed this was what becoming one with the force was like. Anakin was fully prepared to embrace whatever was to come next, but suddenly he heard Obi-Wan. “Anakin, where are you?” Anakin followed the direction of Obi-wan's voice. “Obi-wan, I’m over here!”
As Anakin got closer to the voice, more and more light appeared, eventually completely engulfing him. Anakin’s eyes open, seeing a very familiar ceiling above. “There’s no way?” Anakin sat up and looked around the room. “This is Padmé's room on Coruscant, how is this possible?” Anakin got up and admired all the little things Padmé kept in her room. “Is the force doing this? I… I’ve missed her so much.” That’s when there was a loud knock on the door. ‘Anakin, I know you’re in there, if you’d be so kind as to take a moment out of your day of flirting with Senator Amidala, and speak with me I’d appreciate it.” Anakin ran to the door and hit the button to fling it open. There in the doorway stood a young Obi-Wan Kenobi. “Master Obi-wan, you’re here!” Anakin excitedly hugged Obi-wan. “Anakin, you seem in a rather good mood today, but uh, could you please put a shirt on.”
Obi-wan was awkwardly looking away. “Oh right, one second, I’ll be the right back master.” Anakin ran into the bedroom and grabbed the Jedi robes that were on the bed. “Huh, there’s the top part, but where are my pants?” Anakin looked around the room, trying to find some pants. Anikan tried to open Padma’s closet door to look inside but accidentally turned on the mirror feature. ‘What the hell? Is that me? I’m…. I’m a woman now?” Anakin was staring at herself in the mirror, turning and falling around. “This is so weird? Why would the force change me like this?” Obi-Wan starts knocking again. “Anakin, please hurry up, we have important things to discuss.” "Right, sorry master, just another second.” Anakin stared at the mirror as she put the very revealing robes on. “The force works in mysterious ways, right? Perhaps this is a test.” Anakin found some boots to wear.
“These must be mine, but why do they have to have heels on them?” Anakin slipped them on and ran towards the door. “Alright, master I’m all ready to go I guess.” Obi-wan looked at Anakin and sighed. “Alright let's go, we have a meeting with the council.” Anakin started playing along with Obi-Wan, mostly to not seem out of place, but also because Anakin had dreamed for so long to be able to fix the mistakes of the past. The two arrived at the Jedi temple and made their way to the council room. In the room, Masters Mace Windu, Yoda, Plo Koon, and Kit Fisto were all waiting for us. “Master Obi-wan and Anakin, I’m glad you decided to grace us with your presence.” Mace Windu said as he sat in his chair slightly agitated. “Sorry for the delay, as you know it’s nearly impossible to keep track of Anakin.” Anakin shrugged and walked over and took a seat. Anakin started thinking about the last time she was here. She was added to the council but not granted the rank of master, she was so angry back when that happened.
Anakin thought about how foolish she had been back then. She couldn’t help but feel happy to be here, given a second chance meant everything, even if it meant being a woman. The others had begun their meeting, but Anakin hadn’t been paying attention. Anakin snapped back to the situation after something master Mace Windu said. “So we believe the Sith lords have infiltrated the republic.” “It’s Palpatine, chancellor Palpatine is the Sith lord.” The entire council stopped, shocked by Anakin's accusation. “Anakin, we don’t have time for crazy assumptions, plus I thought you two were friends?” Obi-wan looked at Anakin with a confused look. Realizing that it did indeed seem crazy, and Anakin couldn’t tell them about all that had happened in her last life. So Anakin tried to think of things that could convince them of her claim. “Well, he’s told me stories about Darth Plagueis the wise, and special force techniques.” “I thought he was a collector, due to some of the relics in his office, but along with his knowledge of the force, he’s likely the Sith lord.”
The other council members looked at each other. “I will admit, I have noticed the chancellor's collection.” “Some of them have strong dark side energies, and he could have surrounded himself with them to throw us off.” Mace Windu agreeing with Anakin means he was convinced of Anakin's claims. “Well, we need some sort of proof.” Anakin sat up looking determined. “I can get him to admit it, afterwards we can arrest him and let him stand trial.” Mace Windu started rubbing his face. “If he’s the Sith lord, he likely won’t let us capture him. Even if he did, how could we contain him?” “The Mandalorians have this old Jedi trapping device, I believe they call it the vault. I can contact an old friend there and ask her to let me borrow it.” Everyone looked at each other seemingly agreeing on our plan. Obi-wan left the room, with Kit Fisto and Plo Koon. Yoda, who had been silent up until now, finally decided to speak.
“Different Anakin you are?” Anakin looked down towards the master. “What… I am, I haven't noticed.” Anakin trying to play it off. “Stronger you are, fading sadness behind your eyes you have. Strong new light from you I sense.” Yoda smiled and began to leave the room, leaving Anakin with Mace Windu. “I agree with Master Yoda, something is different about you skywalker.” “I guess I’m just feeling renewed, nothing wrong with that right?” Mace Windu nodded. “It’s more than that, you seem wiser, it is a good thing.” He then left the room as well. Anakin was kinda left to her own devices after that. She left the room, deciding to look around, eventually coming up to the training room. Memories of the horrible things she once did appeared in her mind. “I’m sorry for what I did, it… It won’t happen ever again, I promise.” That’s when someone put their hand on her shoulder. “Hey Skygal, you okay?” Anakin turned to see another familiar face. “Ahsoka, it’s so great to see you!” Ashoka looked a little surprised.
“You seem to be excited, do you have some sort of hard training again today, come on can’t we take a day off?” Anakin just hugged Ashoka. “Wow, you’re never this friendly, are you dying, don’t tell me you're dying?” Anakin laughed. “No, quite the opposite, I’m feeling more alive than ever.” Ashoka looked confused but just went with it. The two went into the training room and practiced some lightsaber techniques, afterwards Anakin took Ashoka out to eat and had a good time just chatting with her. Anakin was certain this time around she would do these little things more often. Later that night Anakin, stuck out of the temple and went to see Padmé. Anakin wasn’t sure what kind of relationship they now had, but from Obi-wan's comments, she could guess it was pretty similar. Anakin knocked on the door and waited a few minutes for Padmé to open it. “Anni, you’re using the door? How mature of you. Come on in.” They both entered and Padmé ran up and hugged Anakin, kissing her passionately on the lips. “I’ve missed you so much Padmé, I… Love you.” Padmé smiled. “I saw you last night, did you have a tough day?” Anakin smiled back, “It’s a really long story, perhaps I’ll be able to tell you all about it one day.”
