Best friends Sergio, Lennon and Simon did everything together, from working in the same office to playing the same sports, even shopping, which was what the trio was up to today. They were walking through the shopping district in their city, checking out any shop that seemed interesting.
That brought them to “Magically Unique,” which was just an old antique shop filled with all kinds of old junk from different eras of history. The group didn’t expect to find anything interesting, at least anything they found interesting inside, so they were going to pass on it.
However, while looking through the window, Sergio noticed they had a section for magical items. Simon’s face lit up and he ran right into the store. He was always a big fan of magic, and the slightest mention of it got him beyond excited.
Lennon looked at Sergio and shook his head. Sergio rubbed the back of his head and apologized, as he forgot how Simon got and how much Lennon despised magic due to it not being real. Lennon sighed and said it wasn’t his fault, and either way, Simon was happy, so it wasn’t a big deal.
The two of them then entered the store and were immediately greeted by an older woman. The two greeted her, but both of them got a strange feeling from her, so they quickly excused themselves and went to stand next to Simon.
When they got next to him, they found him holding a medallion, one that was a part of a set of three. When Simon saw the two of them he smiled and handed each of them one of the medallions and told them to look at how cool they were.
Each of them took the medallion and looked down at them. They were quite cool; they were gold and had a symbol on them that looked a lot like the Yin and Yang symbol but was slightly different due to there being a third part of it that none of them had ever seen.
The group started talking about them, as they were all surprisingly curious about the medallions. That’s when the old woman appeared out of nowhere and started talking about them. She said they were the ὕδρα δύναμις τρία, which none of the group understood.
She told them that the medallions were created by Hera herself and given to three powerful warriors so they may combine their strength and defeat Heracles. She then laughed, saying they didn’t end up winning, but it still made the three warriors closer than ever and gave them a great power.
Sergio and Lennon didn’t believe it one bit, but both thought the medallions were cool, and Simon was clearly believing every word she said. Simon said he’d take them and the woman smiled, then brought him to the cash register and had him pay.
Once all was said and done, she wished the group a wonderful day and watched as they left the store. As soon as they were out, Simon opened up the box and handed each of his friends one of the medallions.
He then held the one that he was keeping for himself and smiled. He then said these would make a great symbol of their friendship, and he hopes they continue to be close, just like the supposed warriors from the woman's tale.
Sergio smiled and held his medallion up next to Simon’s. Lennon shook his head with a very big smile on his face. He didn’t realize that was what Simon was thinking about when he was looking at them; he should have figured that their friendship was at the top of his mind, and not magic.
Lennon held his medallion up as well and the three of them let out a little cheer before each of them put the medallion on around their neck. As the medallions sit on their chests, each one feels a spark of sorts and suddenly feels a wave of energy flow over them.
It strangely made them feel great, and Lennon joked that there might actually be something magical about them. The group laughed, knowing full well that couldn’t possibly be true, even if Simon wished it was.
After that, the three continued their shopping trip before parting ways. A few days went by and the group would see each other at work or when they hung out afterward, and each of them was still wearing the medallions.
Nothing was strange about them at first, but as the weekend got closer and closer, the medallions started to feel more and more like whatever energy they were giving was depleting, until eventually the medallions were completely depleted.
When it did, suddenly Sergio, Simon and Lennon all felt themselves being pulled somewhere. They followed the direction that they felt they were being pulled to, and eventually they all met up in the park, without knowing the others were there and without any of them sending a message.
They were all confused and asked the others if they also felt like they were being pulled to each other. Once they all confirmed they had the same feeling, Sergio realized that the park was the only spot in the middle of where all three of them live.
So it had to be that they were being drawn to each other, but they had no idea why. Simon looked down and lifted his medallion a bit. He said it had to be the medallions; they were all wearing one, and he had noticed it felt like it no longer had the energy it did before.
Sergio and Lennon seemed skeptical, as they still didn’t believe in magic at all, but they couldn’t deny it was strange that they all felt pulled to the same spot without talking to each other. So they asked Simon what he thought they should do.
Simon thought about it for a moment and then said maybe the medallions needed to be next to each other to recharge; after all, they were next to each other for so long and never lost a charge. The others shrugged and said it was worth a shot.
They then lifted their medallions up and got closer to Simon. As soon as they did, all three medallions lit up and then a bright flash came from them. As it passed through them, each guy felt himself suddenly picked off his feet and then slammed into each other.
Things got strange for them after that, as each one felt as if their body changed, but they were unsure how, at least until the flash went away, revealing what had been done to them. Simon still had her eyes closed from the flash when Sergio gasped and Lennon started yelling.
Simon opened her eyes and looked down at herself. She then sat there stunned at what she saw. Her body was covered in scales, and she had breasts. Simon asked what happened to her, and that’s when Lennon told her it wasn’t just her.
Simon’s head turned quickly as it sounded like there was a woman behind her, and sure enough, with just a slight turn of her head, she found not a woman per se, but the head of a woman, which seemed to be attached to her.
Simon was even more shocked and asked who she was, to which Lennon responded by saying her name. Sergio then spoke up and said she was here as well, just on the other side. Simon turned her head and looked over, and sure enough there was another head attached to her.
Simon looked back and forth a few times, then down at herself. She then said this was crazy; she couldn’t believe they were some sort of Hydra now. She then tried to move different parts of their new body, but other than their head, she could only move their torso.
Simon was confused; that was until Sergio and Lennon started moving their arms. It turns out each of them has control of one arm, but none of them seem to be able to move them forward, though each one feels as though they can control their tail.
So after trying a few times to move forward, they each try it at the same time and find they are now finally moving forward, and they are doing so quite fast. They ended up slithering right into a tree, squishing their breasts and making each of them bright red and embarrassed from the sensation.
After realizing that each of them feels their entire body, even if they don’t have control of it, they agreed to be more careful and they figured out how to slowly slither around and eventually made their way out of the forest.
They were a bit nervous as they slithered around the sidewalks, and people walking and driving were completely freaked out, with some calling the police. They just ignored them and made their way to the antique shop where they bought the medallions.
Once they arrived they went inside and looked for the woman who sold them the medallions. She saw them and looked amazed. She then said she couldn’t believe the stories were true, that the medallions were what actually created the hydra.
The group let out awkward laughs and then asked the woman how they separate and turn back into guys. The old woman shrugged and said if there was a way, she had no idea, though she didn’t believe there was a way.
The group was shocked, but Sergio asked how the medallions came back if they can’t turn back. The old woman said that was because they were still wearing the medallions; she then pointed at the green crystal on their chest.
She said that Heracles ripped it out when he defeated the original hydra and that turned them back into the three medallions. The trio got silent again and then said they’d prefer to keep their heads. They then asked the woman if there was anything she could do for them.
She shook her head and said no, which left the trio slithering out of the store with their heads down, at least until they got outside and realized the store was surrounded by police, all of whom looked super confused. Simon let out a nervous laugh as Sergio and Lennon put their hands up.
Seems they were going to have to explain things to the cops, then hopefully once they let the three of them go, they can figure out what they’re going to do about being a Hydra, not to mention a female one, but at least they’re still close friends, in fact closer than ever, and they’ll be figuring things out together.
