Edd stood next to Jessica, messing around with the wand he had stolen from her grandmother. Jessica held tightly to the ring she had found and wondered what his plans were now that he had magic.

Jessica spoke up to ask him if he was going to explain what was really going on. Edd looked at her and smiled. He playfully apologized for losing focus and admitted he waited a very long time to gain the power he had in his hands currently.

Edd stopped messing with his magic and helped Jessica to her feet and started to tell her everything. Starting with that, magic was real, and Jessica’s grandmother was a real witch, a very powerful one.

Edd went on to tell Jessica how he figured that out. One day nearly two decades ago, Edd had come over to play with Jessica, but her mother had something important to do, so Jessica’s grandmother offered to watch them at her house for the evening.

Jessica’s grandmother told them the rules about the rooms and left them in the living room with a board game to play while she was working on her garden outside in the back. Edd and Jessica did play the game for a bit, but like today, Jessica got curious.

Jessica tilted her head; she had no memory of looking around her grandmother's house before. Edd put his fingers on her lips and told her to listen while he finished the story. He continued by saying they searched the forbidden rooms on the first floor like they did today.

They didn’t find anything in those rooms, as they were mostly decoy rooms in case people were snooping around like they did. After checking those rooms, Jessica and Edd looked out the back window to see if Jessica’s grandmother was still working on the garden.

When they saw she was and it seemed like she would be for awhile, the two of them snuck into the basement using the key Jessica’s grandmother hid in a fake box of prunes. Once downstairs, the two of them discovered Jessica’s grandmother's lair.

It had a pedestal with an old spellbook, a big cauldron with glowing green liquid in it, and tons of jars with different ingredients, some of which looked to be parts of creatures, like eyeballs and toes. Jessica was completely disguised by it and wanted to leave.

However, Edd was fascinated by it and started to look around. He ended up messing with the spellbook, which was where he found a magic wand. He picked it up and looked at the spell book on the pedestal.

He waved his hand like the pictures in the spell book said and chanted the spell that was written, and suddenly a light burst out of the wand and turned a rock into gold. Both Jessica and Edd were amazed.

They had a discussion about why Jessica’s grandmother was hiding this, and at one point Jessica thought it was because she was actually evil. Edd gulped when she said that, as if it were true, what would she do to them if she caught them in here?

The two panicked and ran upstairs. Jessica locked the door and ran to the pantry to hide the key, while Edd went and sat down at the game board and slipped the rock turned gold into his shoe. He then acted as if he had always been sitting there.

They almost got away with sneaking in and out, but Jessica’s grandmother came back inside for some water while Jessica was putting away the key, and she caught Jessica in the act. Edd could hear Jessica being scolded for going through her grandmother's things.

Jessica, having been caught and knowing she was in trouble, decided to ask why her grandmother had witchy things and why she never told anyone magic was real. Edd heard Jessica’s grandmother get quiet, and she picked Jessica up and dragged her down to the basement.

As she walked towards the basement, Jessica’s grandmother looked at Edd, who was pretending to not notice her and playing with some game pieces. For some reason, Jessica’s grandmother didn’t think he went as well, since he was sitting there being a good kid.

Jessica’s grandmother then took her down to the basement alone and they were down there for several minutes, and when they came back up, Jessica didn’t have any memory of what had happened that day, nor did she know anything about magic when Edd asked her later on.

Edd knew her grandmother had to be either hoarding magic for herself or perhaps protecting her family from it, but Edd wasn’t her family, and from the moment he discovered it was real, he became obsessed and knew what he had to do, and that was to get the power of magic at any cost.

Edd began to research anything related to magic and hunt for old books on the subject and he even searched far and wide for magical relics and forbidden knowledge. He collected anything he could find, and now his house was basically one big witches' lair.

Jessica gulped; that made sense why they always hung out at her place, and she’s never been to his, though he lied and said he had several roommates and that hanging out there would be awkward because guys smell bad and leave messes, but now she knew that was a lie.

That probably wasn't the only lie either. Jessica was mad at Edd for lying to her this whole time and perhaps not even really being her friend, but most of all she was mad about him using magic to put her in this French maid outfit.

Jessica kept her cool though and asked him if he had all those things and why he needed the wand from her grandmother. Edd looked annoyed and looked at his hand. He admitted that he lacked the ability to do any magic on his own, and magical catalysts like this wand were very limited and rare.

So after years of searching, he knew there was only one way he was going to get his hands on one, and that was to steal it from Jessica’s grandmother's house. He admitted he was going to take the risk of breaking into her house and stealing it.

However, as he pointed out before, Jessica provided him with the means of getting inside and allowing him to find the wand. Edd started to wave the wand around. He had a wicked smile as he thanked her for giving him everything he’d ever dreamed of.

He then looked ready to cast more magic, which made Jessica take a step back and clench the ring in her hands. Edd noticed she was holding something and asked her what it was. Jessica said it was nothing, and Edd looked mad and demanded she hand it over.

Jessica pouted as she found herself sticking her hand out and placing the ring in Edd’s hands. She told him it was just some silly ring she found in the same room he found the wand, and that it wasn’t anything important. Edd scoffed and told her she was wrong, that it was actually a magical artifact.

Jessica looked confused and asked him what that meant. Edd didn’t answer as he was reading the inscription. Once he finished, he smiled and told her that the ring she had been hiding from him was actually enchanted with a spell.

Jessica asked what that meant, as she still had no idea how any of this magic stuff worked. Edd sighed and said he was getting tired of her questions but would explain this last thing because it was quite funny.

He told her that objects like the ring also act as catalysts, but unlike the wand, they have a constant single effect and aren't something to use to create many types of magic. Edd then revealed the ring had a silence spell on it, and anyone who wore it was prevented from uttering a sound.

Jessica gulped; she then said it was a good thing she didn’t put it on. Edd then smiled and said that was a great idea, but then looked down at the ring and pouted. He said it would look nice on her, but not as a ring. He then took the wand and waved it over the ring.

Jessica watched as the ring got bigger and changed shape. It went from a tiny ring to a much bigger one with a strap. He then held it in front of Jessica’s face and said he liked it much better as a ring gag. Jessica gulped as he put it in her hand.

Edd then looked at her and smiled. He asked her to put it on and never take it off. Jessica's eyes spoke a thousand words as her body took the ring gag and put it up to her mouth. She then latched the straps together in the back, securing it in place for possible forever.

Comments

Yeah... a best friend stabbing you in the back or doing anything to hurt you sucks... It's hard to get past something like that and trust people the same. As for the story, you may be on the mark about it. There is one more part to see how this story will end. C:

Hmm, I think that now we can say with complete confidence that Jessica is not just in a bad situation... Her situation is worse than one could imagine... You know, it's very offensive when your best and perhaps only friend betrays you... And if you take into account what behavioral and character traits of Edd you have already shown us, it seems to me that very soon Jessica's life will turn into a hell of humiliation, submission and lust... I really feel very sorry for her
