A Slice of Agent Life: School Festival (Com)

(All characters are consenting adults)

A commission for last_of_workers!

Kasey was running around the school, making sure everything was ready for the school festival, which was starting soon. She had spent the last month planning and helping the clubs set up everything, and just this morning, she found out the student council president was sick.

So that meant not only did she now have to do all the final checks, but she was now the one hosting the festival. It was a lot of work, but for a mature person like her, it was an easy task. At least that’s what she told the other student council members helping her.

She managed to get everything checked off her list just in time for the start of the festival. A ton of people flooded the gym where the festival opening speech would be held before the attendees were allowed to head to the classrooms and see what the clubs came up with.

Kasey took the stage and looked out over dozens of her fellow students, her new friends, and even the members of her former team and their families. Everyone looked so happy to be here, which made Kasey happy as well.

She welcomed everyone to the festival and began to tell them about some amazing things achieved by the students this year, followed by talking about how hard each of them worked to make this a great festival.

She then thanked the students for making this festival possible, the teachers for being supportive of their interests, and lastly, the friends and families of the students who showed up today. With that, Kasey’s speech was done, and everyone started clapping.

Kasey hopped off the stool she was using for the podium, and her oversized sleeves once again covered her hands. She pouted a bit, even her really nice clothes were too big. She then shook her head and smiled, today wasn’t the day to worry about that.

Kasey walked over to her former teammates, the ones who ended up in this world with her. She told each of them that they should meet up after the festival to discuss something. They all agreed, and everyone went off to their clubs.

Kasey, having done her main thing and not needing to do anything until the closing ceremony, decided to go check out each of the clubs to support the students and her friends. Inside the Occult Club, Jaylene was getting ready with her fellow members.

All but one member bailed because his device was going crazy, and he wanted to follow it and see what was causing the strange readings. Jaylene put on a dark robe while the rest of her club mates put on different monster costumes.

They then turned the lights off, and Jaylene stood in the center of the room on a glowing blue circle. The room quickly filled up with people excited to see what they were doing, Jaylene’s mother, her sister, and Kasey included.

Jaylene smiled when she saw them and then lifted her hands. She addressed the crowd and told them she was about to reveal to them the world of the supernatural. She then lifted her hands, and two of her club members popped out of the dark, wearing glowing ghost costumes.

They then walked around the room, acting like ghosts and even interacting with the crowd. After a minute, Jaylene acted as if she was performing an exorcism, and when she finished, the club members turned their lights off to make it seem like they vanished.

Jaylene continued this several more times, summoning all kinds of monsters, from bigfoot to ghouls, even a couple of demons that she pretended to make a deal with for her soul. Once they ran out of costumes, Jaylene thanked everyone for coming, then used a smoke bomb to vanish.

The lights then turned back on, and the audience started to clap, all but Jaylene’s sister, who was a bit spooked by it all. Jaylene appeared behind her, hugged her, and told her not to worry. She’d never let those monsters get her.

That made her feel better, and Jaylene began to chat with her mom while the rest of her club chatted with their families or got ready for the next club. Kasey smiled and waved at Jaylene before leaving and heading to the next club.

Inside the robotics club, the members were already well into their yearly battle bot tournament. The sounds of saws, clashing metal, and cheering flowed out into the hallway. Trinity’s bot was currently in the arena and getting ready to take out the opponent.

Before the fight started, Trinity looked over and smiled when she saw her parents, aunt, and uncle standing waiting to watch her kick butt. She then looked around for the twins, and she found them with their faces pressed against the safety glass, talking about how cool Trinity’s bot was.

Trinity adjusted the jumpsuit her father and aunt got for her and then put her special battle bot goggles on. She asked her opponent and fellow club member if he was ready. He nodded and asked her if she was ready to finally lose.

Trinity smiled and turned her bot on. She then sent it right after her opponent. He quickly activated his special jumping ability, followed by the hammer he added. His bot then came back down very quickly, ready to deal a massive blow to Trinity’s bot.

Trinity chuckled and hit a button on her controller. Suddenly, her bot flipped backward and dogged the hammer. Her opponent's bot smashed into the ground, and the hammer broke off. His jaw dropped, and he started to hold his head.

He started to yell at himself for not making the hammer more secure. Trinity chuckled and watched him fumble to get his bot upright. He then started to try and come up with a new plan, but Trinity could tell the hammer was his only plan.

So, to save him from a long, humiliating defeat, she decided to show mercy and take his bot out with one attack. His bot was smashed into three pieces, and Trinity turned her bot off and walked over to him to shake his hand and tell him it was fun.

Despite his defeat, he was still excited for the battle royal at the end when they all used their backup bots to take on Trinity’s bot. She smiled and said she was as well. Trinity then ran over to her family and asked them what they thought of her bot.

Most of them praised her on how cool it was, while her father and aunt went a bit further and said that her bot was even better than they could have imagined from the specs she had shown them. Trinity smiled and said she made some last-minute adjustments thanks to her club member's ideas.

They continued to talk before the next match started. Trinity talked with Kasey a bit, and Kasey told Trinity to win this thing before she excused herself to go check out another club. Trinity turned back and walked back to the arena, determined to make sure she did just that.

Inside the art class, each student was in a different part of the room with their best works from that year displayed around them. Most of them were waiting to talk about what they made, but Haley acted like it was a normal day and was working on a painting.

This turned out to be a big hit, as a lot of people found themselves lost in her brush strokes almost as much as Haley was. For most of them, this was the first they had seen a master painter painting in real-time. It was around this time that Kasey entered the club.

After some time, the club president came over and started to tell everyone about Haley and the things she’s painted this year. She also explained that Haley often lost herself in painting, and even the building being on fire wasn’t enough to get her out of her focus.

Luckily, there was one person here who could snap her out. It was her sister. She called out to Haley, which snapped her out, and she turned around. That’s when Haley saw her older sister, but next to her were her parents.

Haley’s face lit up with the biggest smile, and she ran over to them and hugged them tightly, asking them why they were there. They admitted they were a bit busy, but this was important to her, so they weren't going to miss it.

Haley was so happy they were there but asked them how they even knew about it, it wasn’t like she told them about it. Haley then looked at her older sister, who was smiling. Haley was nearly in tears but jumped to her sister and hugged her tightly, thanking her.

They then asked Haley to go back to her section and talk about her art, including the one she was working on. Haley wiped her tears and nodded. She ran back and stood in front of the crowd. She thanked the club president for helping her and then took over.

Haley showed off some of the art she had completed, telling the crowd about what inspired it and the colors she used and showing some techniques she used to make them look so unique. She then got to her current work, which was almost done.

While looking a lot like her other art, it was more clear what this one was. It was a group of students at a park on a bright, sunny day with flowers and birds. It basically screamed happiness, and Haley explained that was what inspired it, the happiness that now fills her heart.

Kasey heard that and was a bit surprised to hear it. She wanted to ask if that was true, but it wasn't the time for it. Haley then pulled out a blank canvas and handed out some brushes, letting anyone who wanted to add something to it so they could hang it up and remember this day.

They were a hit, and almost everyone took a brush and put a blob of paint on it, including Kasey. Haley noticed Kasey, and the two chatted a bit. Haley told Kasey she looked great on stage addressing everyone, and Kasey praised Haley for her amazing works of art.

After that, people started to ask Haley questions about art, and Kasey decided to head back to the gym and check on the last two clubs. Since the stage was set up in the gym, that meant the music club and gymnastics club were in the same area.

The music club was still setting up. They wouldn't be on until after the gymnastics club finished, so that meant Paola got to watch Saige get ready for her performance. Saige was mostly sitting still and looking quite nervous.

Paola noticed this, grabbed her mic, and yelled out to her. She told Saige that she was going to be amazing and not to let her nervous thoughts ruin it. Saige looked up and was a bit embarrassed to have someone talking to her over a speaker, but she also felt sort of relieved.

There were people here who believed in her. Her clubmates, her parents, and even Paola and Kasey were here, and the last thing she wanted was to let them down. No, the last thing she was going to do was let them down.

Kasey had arrived before Paola used the mic, and as the person responsible for this event, she went on stage and scolded Paola for misusing equipment like that, but afterward said she was glad Paola did it. The two of them laughed and watched Saige.

Saige stepped up and finally took her turn to perform for the crowd. Saige went up to the balance beam and made a few impressive moves as she crossed it. She dismounted it with elegance and then went to the next thing in the line, which was the still rings.

Those were a bit tougher, but she posed in several very intense ways, swung around with what seemed like ease, and even held a handstand for a few seconds. She then did a flip and let go, landing on her feet on a nearby mat.

The crowd started to clap for her and the others as they kept going. Saige went on to use the high bar, vaulting apparatus, and pommel horse. Lastly, she made it to the main open floor to do the floor exercise. She performed several moves and ended her routine by facing the crowd and bowing.

Everyone clapped, including her family and friends. After that, Saige went to sit down and drink some water because she was now exhausted. Saige’s parents came over and started to praise her and show her all the photos and videos they had taken of her performance.

Saige still couldn't believe it was her. She looked like a professional, and honestly, at this rate, she may end up as one when she’s no longer in school. Saige sat with her parents and watched the rest of her club members perform while cheering them on.

Kasey leaves Paola to finish getting ready and wishes her luck on her concert, then goes and sits with Saige to chat before going to check on some of the other clubs that didn’t have her teammates in them.

Saige goes back out to perform a few more times, and after a couple of hours, the final show before the closing ceremony begins. All the clubs but the music club had closed up and went to the gym to watch Paola and her band perform.

All the students, their families, and several other attendees were inside the gym as the curtains opened up to show the band and their instruments. Almost everyone but Paola’s grandfather and the music teacher were confused about what Paola was playing.

However, it didn’t matter when she started to play it, its amazing and quiet sounds filled the gym and made the crowd start to jam out and use glow sticks to light the room. Paola and her band played a wide range of music genres just to show off how cool their new sound was in each type.

So they played some rock covers, some hip-hop, jazz, some electronic music and more. Paola sang for most of the songs, but to give her a break, the guitarist took over for a few songs. By the time the concert finished, they were all exhausted and thrilled with their performance.

The crowd loved them and was still cheering, with some calling for an encore, which they would do if they had time, but the closing ceremony was about to start, so everyone could go home with their families and rest after such a long day.

The band went to the front of the stage and thanked the crowd for being there and said they were so happy to perform for them using their new sound. They then waved as they walked backstage, and the curtain closed.

The band started to high-five and celebrate an amazing performance and were already talking about doing more shows like this when Kasey came walking backstage. She smiled at Paola and told the band they were amazing.

The band all raised their hands with a fist and cheered, and purely from the adrenalin and happiness they were feeling, all yelled that Kasey was amazing without any real reason to say so. Kasey chuckled and walked onto the stage.

Paola said goodbye to her bandmates and went into the gym to find her family. More importantly, she was looking for her grandfather. When she found him, she asked him how she was. He said she was beyond amazing. He was nearly in tears from how amazing it was.

He told her he’d always wanted to hear the theremin played with such grace and beauty, but his lack of skill crushed that dream, but to see her go out there and play it with the skill of someone who’d played it for several decades was something he’d remember till the day he dies.

Paola laughed and told him that was nice to hear but told him to make sure that day was a long time away, as she wanted him to be around a long time to hear her play it more. He laughed and promised to be there whenever she played.

On stage, Kasey addressed the crowd one more time and thanked them all for being here that day. She then talked about the clubs she visited today, how amazing they were, and how she was excited to see how they continue to hone and grow their skills in the future.

She then smiled and said she was so happy to be here alongside so many talented and amazing people. She thanked everyone again for supporting them and for helping make today so wonderful, and with that, she officially declared the school festival over.

The students all started to cheer, and afterward, they started to leave the gym with their friends and family. It was at this time that members of the Global Infiltration Revenge Legion met up in front of the stage to talk. All six of them were too nervous to speak at first.

However, Haley broke the silence and got straight to the point. She admitted to everyone that she no longer wanted to try and go back to their world, that she was happy here, with her new body, her family, and the ability to enjoy things like painting.

The rest of the group looked shocked to hear this at first, but one by one, each of them admitted the same. Each one explained how this new life fixed problems from their old life and gave them everything they needed to be happy for the first time.

After each one admitted they wanted to stay, they got silent again. Trinity was the one to break the silence this time, and she asked what everyone was thinking. She asked if this was the end of the Global Infiltration Revenge Legion and if they should go their separate ways.

Saige said it made sense. They had no real reason to interact anymore. Paola got angry and said to hell with that. Kasey agreed, she said they considered all of them as her friends, so while most things are in the past for them, the way they were friends, basically sisters, still remained.

The group smiled again, each one of them feeling the same way. They then agreed to keep the squad going, but dropping the long name and only using the first letter from each word, so from now on, they were The Girl Squad, which they realize is quite funny.

They were laughing about it when the guy from Jaylene’s club, the one with the device who was tracking magic anomalies, came walking right into their group. His device was going crazy, and he said there was for sure a high contraction of something magical or supernatural around.

The group got a bit nervous and tried to tell him the thing must be busted and that there was nothing magical about them. He rechecked his device and confirmed the reading wasn't coming from any of them.

He then turned around, and the device turned red, which meant he was facing the source. The group looked in the direction he was facing and saw a taller blonde woman with blue eyes and massive breasts staring at them.

The group knew right away who it was. It was the very genie that they tried to take out, the one who sent them here. Of course, she was wearing a normal business suit to blend in, but she knew the group knew who she was.

She waved at them, then smiled as she vanished into thin air. The guy with the device ran over to where the genie was standing and started laughing, saying he was right. He then looked at the group and told them that he had been following her all day and that she had to be magical.

He told them that the woman had visited each of their clubs for some reason and, for a while, followed the vice student council president around. The group looked at each other and smiled. It seemed their dear friend, the genie, came to check out their clubs and, in turn, them.

The guy asked them why they weren't surprised by this or shocked that a woman just vanished. They decided to play dumb and act like they didn’t see anything. Jaylene then started acting, saying she didn’t see it, but she believed him and that they must investigate further.

That got the guy's focus off of them and hopefully will keep him from figuring out they had anything to do with the magical woman he had seen. He left, and the rest of the group actually talked about what happened before breaking off to head home for the night.

The genie, now back in her realm, watched each of them through a different orb. She smiled to herself and was happy she could help each of them find peace and happiness in her new life. Now, all she had to do was take care of her other problems.

Two words had people trying to get into her realm and take it over. One was an actual world, and the other was some sort of phantom alternate timeline of that world that shouldn’t exist yet somehow does, and she believes the people in the main world are responsible for it.

Both worlds are trying to get into her realm and claim the powers of the genie and the orbs she guards, but she wouldn’t allow that to happen. She’d protect them no matter what, and her enemies would come to learn that she’s got plenty of orbs and plenty of new lives to send them to.

I may have been planning that from the very beginning. I thought it was really cute and did my best to hide it until the end. Go Girl Squad! Yeah, I did tell you I would try to make it so both worlds make sense. I also did it very vaguely. By only mentioing the alternate world, all the details are still up to about how they came to be, what happens next, and so on. The last bit I have to say is that I absolutely loved the image; the costumes of each girl really show their true personalities, and I'm even happier about the idea!

Riley

I am happy for our The Girl Squad, they really have a very good fate... And I really didn't notice at first that Global Infiltration Revenge Legion will be shortened to "Girl" it seems that this was their original fate... And I can't help but note that you gave me the opportunity to continue 2 Agency lines at once, this is really impressive... Thank you very much for this
