12Animefan21's first TG-Empress request for Feb 2025

Melody stood at her post just down the hall from Princess Hope’s bedroom. It was now her duty to watch the hallway that led to it and stop anyone from entering who shouldn’t be, and when the princess woke up, it was Melody’s duty to escort and protect the princess.

It was an amazing job, one that paid well. Yet Melody still couldn’t believe she got to wake up every day inside the castle to protect, of all people, Princess Hope. His life has been vastly different since she got her.

One example of how her life was different now, was that she was a simple blacksmith's apprentice, the other being that she also used to be a man named Christian. It all happened several months ago out of the blue.

Christian was just a simple commoner. A citizen in the Kingdom of Alabasta, and a future blacksmith. He had just finished buying all the materials his master tasked him with fetching that morning and was carting them back to the forge.

Along the way, the foot traffic was stopped by guards because the horse carriage with Princess Hope was driving by after her extended visit to another kingdom for balls and whatnot. Christian had no problem stopping to take a break since the stuff he was carting was quite heavy.

It was also the closest he’d ever been to the princess since he was born, so he didn’t want to miss this chance to see her in person. Of course, she didn’t stop and come out, so no one saw her. It took a few minutes but they passed and Christian brought the stuff to the forge.

As Christian was unloading his cart a woman came running by in a panic and bumped into him. She was wearing a hooded cloak but Christian still got a good look at her face. She looked extremely panicked. That’s when two guys came running over screaming that they found her.

Christian knew trouble when he saw it, and these guys were trouble. Christian pulled one of his master's shortswords from the wall and went to clash with the men who were chasing the woman. He managed to wound one, making it so they had to retreat for a moment.

Christian then ran to the woman to make sure she was okay. She quietly thanked him and then begged him to escort her to the castle. She said she had to get there, and that more men were after her. Christian had no idea who she was but felt in his heart she was genuine.

So he took her inside and had her wait while he grabbed some equipment his master had forged. He told her he wasn’t exactly trained as a knight, but he would protect her and get her to safety no matter what. As an added bonus, Christian praised his master craftsmanship.

He said it would hold up against these brainless goons. Christian then guided the woman through the back alleys and hidden paths up to the castle, and along the way, he clashed with several more of the people after the woman. He wounded most of them but managed to kill a few as well.

They finally made it to the castle and were immediately surrounded. The knights took the woman and arrested Christian, but the woman told them I wasn’t an enemy, but instead her savior. She explained how I fought battle after battle and risked my life to get her here safely.

They let Christian go but kept his weapon just to be sure. Then they escorted the two of them inside. Christian got to see the throne room for the very first time and was overly impressed by how elegant it was.

The Queen was waiting with a worried look on her face until she saw the hooded woman. She let out a sigh of relief and said she was so glad the woman was safe. That’s when the woman removed her hood to reveal she was Princess Hope.

Christian couldn’t believe it. He had not only met the princess, but he had saved her as well. Hope began to tell the tale of what happened. After passing Christian on the street in her wagon, the cart took the wrong path.

It went into a back alley because the driver was actually a spy. Then a group of bandits attacked the wagon and nearly got her, but one of her loyal knights covered her in a cloak and helped her escape. Several of the guys chased after Hope, but she managed to run into a kind man along the way.

That being Christian who armored up and fought hard to bring her to the castle. The queen then thanked Christian personally for saving her daughter and said that she would do anything to repay him for his kindness.

Christian was quite selfless as a person and admitted he didn’t help her for any sort of reward, and that he just did it because it was the right thing to do, so he really didn’t need to be rewarded for that. That made the queen smile, and she said that Christian was a good person.

Hope then turned around and approached Christian. She said that she was so grateful to him for saving her and that she trusted him with her life, and because of that, she wanted Christian to become one of her knights.

She said he could protect the hallway to her bedroom, escort her, and be her bodyguard. Christian couldn’t believe this offer, it would not only mean having a real place to sleep each night, but getting food on a regular basis and not being worked to death by his master.

Not to mention he could ensure Princess Hope’s safety from now on. To Christian there was nothing he'd rather do, so he agreed to become Hope’s knight. Hope was thrilled to hear it and said that she’d do the knighting ceremony right now.

She then had one of the guards bring out a fancy well-crafted blade for her to use. Hope takes it in her hands and tells Christian to kneel before her. Christian nods and happily does so. Hope then takes the blade and places it on Christian’s right shoulder.

She then recites part of an oath and has Christian repeat it. Once he did, she moved the blade onto his other shoulder and spoke the next part. Christian repeated it again, and this time Hope held the blade in front of her and recited one more part.

She then told Christian to take the blade and repeat the final part of the oath. Christian takes the blade and repeats the final line of the oath. As soon as he does, his whole body is engulfed in a light. Hope then loudly said that she now dubs Christian, Melody The Protector of Hope.

The light vanishes, and where a once tall muscular man stood was now a slightly shorter and thinner woman, with long purple hair and a very feminine body. Melody opened her eyes since the light had been blinding and looked down.

Her face turns bright red and she gasps. She then looked up at Princess Hope and asked why she turned into a woman. Hope seemed confused and asked if Melody didn’t know that all the knights in the kingdom were women.

Melody tells Princess Hope that of course, she didn’t know that, but now that Melody was thinking about it, she had never seen any male knights before. Hope apologized and said she had no idea that it wasn’t common knowledge outside the castle.

Hope then apologized again, saying that because of the oath, the change was permanent, and that had she known Melody didn’t know about the change, she wouldn’t have performed the ceremony right away.

Melody had to stop her and tell her it was okay. That while she didn’t know, and the change was quite sudden and would be something she'd have to adjust to, she’d still have done it. Melody knew it was fate that they met and that it was her destiny to protect Princess Hope.

Hope smiled when Melody said that. She told Melody she was glad they had met, and she believed fate had a hand in their meeting as well. She then grabbed Melody’s hands and said she’d show her the whole castle so she could get a feel for the layout.

They then spent the whole day walking around and talking, and at night, Melody bowed to her princess and stood in the hall protecting her as she slumbered. After that came a lot of training, not only in combat and tactics to protect the princess but also learning about her new body.

It took a lot of work, and she made mistakes along the way, got more bruises in training than she can count, fell off a horse a few times, and forgot her sword when she went on duty once, but after ten long months of working hard, Melody was truly a full-fledged knight worthy of protecting her princess and starting to enjoy her life as a woman.

I like to think of it almost like Marvel's what if, we're looking through at her from some sort of outside dimension, and we're able to see her lives across many different timelines. Something could come of them all one day, but at the same time, they can all peacefully exist not knowing how many of them there really are.

And again we see the emergence of a new Melody... And I'm still waiting for the emergence of a global plot... Well, my subconscious can't accept the fact that all the stories about Melody are completely autonomous and not connected in any way... There are too many small similarities between them... Okay, I'll figure it out with my subconscious somehow, but as for the story... It's good, but unfortunately I can't say anything more about it.... I just have nothing to cling to here

I'm looking forward to it as well! <3

Wow, thank you so much for the great caption. You have perfectly realized my wishes again. I love it. I'm already looking forward to the next one.
