A commission for last_of_workers!
Squad Leader K.B. Also known as Commander Klin Bishop. He’s a sixty-year-old man with nerves of steel, a cold heart, and an even darker soul. He’s seen more battles and death than everyone else employed by O.R.B. by a long shot.
Despite all of that, he remained unaffected by what he’d seen. His ability to keep a level head made him perfect for the leader position of the Global Infiltration Revenge Legion. However, becoming the man he is today was wrought with hardships.
His early days were spent in the care of unloving parents who, when they weren't busy pretending he didn’t exist, would only scream and beat him when they were unhappy. He once mentioned not once ever feeling loved, which is a shame, every parent should love their children.
His school life wasn’t much better. There wasn’t a day when he showed up to school that the bullies weren't waiting for him. Each morning started with his pants below his knees, his stuff tossed all over the ground and fists knocking the wind out of him.
Despite how hard it was, there was always one person who was there for him. Another child named Isaias. He was Klin’s best and only friend. Isaias would always pick Klin up, patch him up, and then make him feel better with jokes.
Klin knew that no matter how hard things got, he’d be okay as long as Isaias was by his side, but this wasn't a story with a happy ending. One day while Klin was getting beat up, Isaias stepped in to fight the bullies on Klin’s behalf.
Isaias ended up getting hit in the head by a rock that one of the bullies threw. He then fell to the ground bleeding profusely. Klin crawled over to his friend and picked him up. Klin tried to stop the bleeding, but it was far too late.
Isaias faded away in Klin’s arms and was gone. Klin held him tight and cried, even as paramedics tried to pull Isaias’ body from his arms. After that, Klin was never the same. Klin stopped going to school and ended up turning to powerful medications to numb his emotions.
It worked and he became the perfect killing machine for the army, and eventually a commander capable of handling anything and completing any mission. Of course, his methods for doing so eventually got him dishonorably discharged.
That’s when O.R.B. recruited him, and ever since had gone on difficult mission after mission. Recently he and his team the Global Infiltration Revenge Legion went on a mission to the realm of orbs to take it over. Status, MIA.
Klin along with her entire team found themselves inside a locker room as girls in another world. It was clear they had lost and needed to find a way back, but in the meantime, they’ve activated protocol 404, which is used in this case to blend in and not look suspicious.
So each of them would have to pretend to be normal girls and go about their lives like nothing happened. Which was embarrassing, but for the sake of the mission, they would do it, like they always did.
So they split up and started and began learning about their current identities. Klin grabbed her bag and started to go through it. She had tons of study materials, paper, pens, a school schedule which would be helpful, her phone, and finally a student Identification card.
Klin pulled that out and looked at it. A lot of info was on it, things like her name being Kasey Bautista, the fact that she was nineteen, which was a little surprising because of how small and slim she is, not to mention the fact her uniform was way too big for her, but it seems she’s just small for her age.
Kasey put her ID away and looked at her schedule, it was already late in the day, so the only thing left in the day was club time, which Kasey seemed to have a student council meeting put in its place. Kasey found herself quite curious about it.
Kasey then stopped and held her head. She couldn’t remember the last time she was curious about something. She then realized this body didn’t take medication to numb her emotions. Kasey leaned back against a locker and started to have a panic attack.
Flashes of her old life and the horrible things that happened to her started to appear and she was scared and nearly in tears. That’s when she heard Isaias’ voice. Kasey turned and saw what seemed like a ghost standing next to her. Isaias then turned and pointed at two girls in the locker room.
Kasey looked at them and Isaias and her panic ended when she saw a blonde girl picking on a smaller black-haired girl. The blonde girl was calling the black-haired girl ugly, pulling her hair and shoving her back and forth. Kasey suddenly got mad and ran over towards them.
Kasey shoved the blonde girl out of the way and put herself between them. Kasey looked very serious and ready to stand up for the black-haired girl. The blonde girl looked nervous and backed down, before running out of the locker room.
Kasey turned and asked the black-haired girl if she was okay. She nodded and then suddenly hugged Kasey and thanked her. Kasey was shocked, she’d never been hugged before, it felt so strange, so good, so childish.
Kasey, without thinking about it, turned her head and pushed her lips out. She told the girl she was glad she was okay, but then informed her that she was too old for such immature affection. The girl laughed and let go like this was a normal occurrence.
She then left, leaving Kasey to stand there and feel quite strange. She felt really good, which was a sensation she’d never really had. She’d never been hugged like that, and now that it was over, she kind of wished she’d let it go on longer.
Kasey smiles, everything that just happened was a lot to process, and she had to get to the council meeting before someone suspects anything. Kasey leaves the locker room and heads upstairs to where the meeting is.
Once inside Kasey meets with the student council president, who then hands Kasey a stack of papers. Kasey learned at that moment that she was the vice president and had a lot of responsibilities because of it. Of course, it wasn’t anything a mature adult like her couldn't handle.
Kasey takes them and goes to sit down and go over them. It seemed it was all for a school festival where all the clubs would show off what they do, and among them were a ton of clubs, several of which had Kasey’s team in them.
It seemed Kasey's job this time around was to manage the clubs, help them get ready for the festival, and most importantly make sure each club stayed within their budget. All simple things when compared to what she was used to.
The meeting lasted an hour and Kasey had to speak a few times, which she was worried about, but it seemed when she got started, the info and knowledge of what she needed to know was just in the back of her mind waiting to be used.
So she seemed completely normal to the rest of the student council. She even had a bit of fun getting to talk to all of them and lead the efforts for the school festival. It was almost like a mission, but without any risk, no death, no violence.
Once the meeting was up, the president stopped her and told her she had done a great job. She even started to pat Kasey’s head. It felt so nice, Kasey didn’t want her to stop and she wanted to smile, but then she remembered that she was supposed to be a mature adult.
So she didn’t stop the president from rubbing her head, but she told her that she was acting immature. The president laughed and said she knew, but it was okay. She stopped a few seconds later and said having Kasey on the council has been great.
She then retold Kasey the tale of how she got there, which Kasey somehow started to remember. It was all at the beginning of the year, her friends, who are her teammates had all voted for her thinking she would do a great job, they even got other students to join in.
She remembered not thinking she would do a good job, but she started to help students with her work, and she really enjoyed it. The president once again praises her, then leaves for the day. Kasey soon follows since all the clubs are out now, so she’ll have to start managing them tomorrow.
Kasey walks outside and wonders where she lives, but then like earlier that information pops into her head and she smiles. She turns left and starts to make her way home. It was only about a five-minute walk which was amazing.
Once she was inside she closed the door and a golden retriever came running and jumped on her, knocking her to the floor. He then began to lick Kasey like crazy. Kasey started to laugh and pet him. Something about him felt so familiar, so comforting like she knew him.
That’s when a woman from the other room said his name in order to call him to her. She yelled out the name Isaias, and Kasey’s mouth opened wide. Memories of getting Isaias into this world and becoming best friends with him filled her mind.
She nearly started to cry, even in this world they were best friends. Kasey wiped away her tears as a boy came running in next. He was clearly younger than Kasey but looked a lot like her. He ran over and asked Kasey if she was okay, then helped her up.
Kasey said she was then looked down at the boy. She suddenly knew who he was. It was her younger brother Grant, who loved to play with her and looked up to her since she was an awesome big sister. Kasey couldn’t help but smile and pat his head as she thanked him for helping her up.
He smiled and told her dinner was about to be done, he then grabbed her hand and pulled her to the dining table where several others were. Her father Spencer was sitting at the head of the table working on his laptop, while Kasey’s older sister Emelia was setting up bowls and spoons.
They both noticed Kasey come in and greeted her with warm smiles. They then started to ask about her day. Kasey was speechless for a moment. This was a normal family, and they actually cared about her… She nearly broke down into tears again.
She never realized how much she wanted this as a kid, and someone by fate, or perhaps magic she was getting to experience it. Kasey dropped her bag, took a seat at the table, and began to tell them all about the meeting and festival since that was all she really did today.
Kasey’s mother Kendra came out not long afterward with a big pot of chili, and she began to take bowls and fill them up. Then everyone sat around eating and chatting. It was just so mundane, so normal, but Kasey loved it.
After dinner, Kasey had to go upstairs and shower, which was a little bit embarrassing as she still wasn’t ready to see her new body. For as mature as she acted, this was still something she couldn’t do.
So she showered with her eyes and clothes and immediately covered herself and her parts with a towel. Then she got into her pajamas, all while her eyes were still closed. Kasey then had to do a bit of homework, but thanks to her memories from her old life, the answers came easy.
Around eleven at night, Kasey’s mother and father came in and told her it was time for bed, and to say goodnight. Both of them hugged her and her dad kissed her on the forehead. They then turned the lights off as they left.
Kasey was still blushing under her covers from it, and her heart was beating a mile a minute because of how happy and excited she was to have such a loving family. Suddenly the thought of never going back to her old world came across her mind.
Could she really stay here, stay as a girl? It wasn’t like anyone would miss her in the old world right? She didn’t know, there were still her teammates, she needed to at least help them get back home assuming they wanted to.
Kasey ended up falling asleep while thinking about these things, which made it easier for her old memories to creep into her dreams and cause nightmares. She was then woken up by her older sister Emelia who had Kasey in her arms.
Emelia told her it was alright and just a nightmare and that everything would be okay. Kasey took a deep breath and calmed down. Her sister was right, that life, those memories are merely flashes of what no longer exists.
She’s just Kasey, a high school girl who stands up for her friends, is very mature, vice president of the student body council, and a secret lover of hugs and head pats. Kasey smiled and drifted back to sleep taking comfort in her chance to live a new normal life, and this time she dreamed about the school festival to come.
