Florzoneburge is a small community that is cut off from the outside world due to where it’s located. So because of that, they were self-sufficient. They had their own farm animals, grew their own crops, and even built their houses out of stuff they got from the forest and mines.

Currently, there are only two people old enough to receive a job but haven’t. Orion, a nineteen-year-old boy who had no real motivation to do anything and was just waiting for a day, was given a job that he’d do for the rest of his life, and his best friend Nyla.

Nyla was a super-intelligent twenty-year-old woman. One who dreamed of seeing the outside world and without anyone knowing had actually made her own computer and fired out how to connect to wifi through a satellite that was always above their location.

With that, she was able to take classes online and eventually applied to a real college and got in, but the town leaders found out about what she was doing, took her computer away, and said they’d have a job for her soon.

A few days later Orion went to visit her since he hadn’t heard from her in a few days. Orion knocked on the door and Nyla answered it. She then looked around without saying anything and pulled Orion inside.

“What’s going on Nyla? Are you in trouble again?” Orion asked as he went and sat on her bed. “Uh, It’s complicated, but I’m glad you showed up. I need help with something.” Nyla said, seemingly slightly nervous. “You do? Does it have to do with you finally getting your job?”

Orion said genuinely excited to find out what his friend would be doing from now on. “Yeah… I got a hairstylist and want to try out my new skills. Do you mind if I try it on you? I’ll change it back afterward.” Nyla then grabbed a few things.

“Yeah sure, have at it. I don’t much care what my hair looks like.” Orion said as he got up and sat in a chair. He then closed his eyes and let Nyla go at his hair. She cut it, cleaned it, put several things into it, then washed it again an hour later.

“All done, take a look,” Nyla said as she handed Orion a mirror. “Oh hey, look at my hair. It looks just like yours, you even dyed it the same color.” Orion looked at it from different angles. “It looks good, though it definitely doesn’t fit me.”

Nyla smiles “I don’t know it looks great on you.” Nyla and Orion laughed at that. “Alright, before I change you back, catch this,” Nyla said as she tossed something from her gloved hand at Orion. Orion jumped up and caught it.

He then looked down to find a glowing stone in his hand. Orion’s heart started to sink. “Nyla… Is this a job stone?” Nyla was silent for a moment. “Yeah… I’m sorry…” Nyla said looking quite ashamed. Orion quickly dropped the stone but it was too late, it had imprinted on him and began to work.

“What the hell? No one is supposed to touch these other than the person it’s meant for… Wait… you never used it?” Orion looked at Nyla confused. “The town leaders caught me, they know about my computer and my plan to leave, and they decided to make sure that doesn't happen.”
