A commission for last_of_workers

In the year 809, a young peasant man who was lying in the mud, with a stab wound deep enough to ensure he wouldn’t make it much longer, found himself suddenly in a strange realm before an unknown floating being.

The being was a very beautiful woman with long blonde hair and an incredible body draped in blue robes. She saw the peasant man and came to his aid. She used some sort of magic to heal his wounds.

Once he was healed he had so many questions, the biggest was where he found himself. He thought it was the afterlife and that she was god, but the man quickly realized how close, yet so far off that was.

The woman explained that this was the realm of orbs, a place of pure magic. A place that exists outside time and space, and is connected to the infinite multiverse. She picked up an orb and showed it to the man, she told him that each of these orbs was a different wish.

She then said as the genie and protector of this place, it was her job to bring people here and use the orbs to grant someone’s greatest wish. The man was excited and started telling the genie all the wishes he wanted granted.

She stopped him however and said he only got one wish and that was it. The man didn’t like that and demanded more, but the genie stood firm and said she could send him away without getting any wishes. He grits his teeth, says fine, and begins to think of his wish.

In the end, the man wishes for a body that not only had eternal youth but couldn’t be killed. The genie granted that wish but had an uneasy feeling about it. She sent him back to his world not knowing his new goal.

To find a way back to the realm of orbs in order to gain the power of orbs. Hundreds of years have passed since then. The year was now 2024, and that young man, now known as Kieran, though still in a young body, had grown into a very powerful man of the modern day.

He founded an organization nearly a hundred years ago called O.R.B. It was originally a research group, but now it is a tech company with a side branch for military-like operations. On the outside, they seem like a normal company.

On the inside, it’s all a front so Kieran could continue to find a way back to the realm of orbs. They hadn’t made any progress in nearly a hundred years, but recently they started to detect surges of magic across their world.

They began to track them and found certain people were suddenly receiving tickets and vanishing. Some never returned, while others returned differently, or with new people who seemed to come out of nowhere.

After creating special technology, they were able to slightly view those who vanished, even if they were in other worlds now, thanks to following a magical energy that gets left behind when they vanish.

Kieran tasked an agent to study and watch these people as new scans reported more anomalies, but at some point, a scan happened to pick up an anomaly from the agent himself. Kieran was annoyed at that, the genie was clearly onto him, and trying to stop his work.

That annoyance changed quickly though as Kieran realized that he could use that agent to get to the genie. He allowed the agent to continue his work, and seemingly communicate with someone else through the multiverse.

They watched the agent and allowed him to continue his reports, all while they started to build a portal that would allow them to follow someone who recently vanished into the realm of orbs. It took nearly another year, but they finally managed to do it.

Now all they needed was a team to go inside and see if it worked. This is where the “Global Infiltration Revenge Legion” O.R.B’s best mercenary team comes into play. They were a small team of elites, who had nearly a hundred operations under their belts.

Only known by the rest of O.R.B. by their initials, their team consisted of the squad leader K.B. The heavy weapons expert S.M. The medic H.E. The recon expert P.D. the marksmen J.I. Then lastly the communications expert T.X.

Their missions have always been focused on things that are supernatural or magical in nature, so not only are they the best team to enter the portal to the realm of orbs and take down the genie, but they may be the only ones capable of doing so.

The team stood on standby prepared at any moment for their next mission to begin. All Kieran needed was someone else to use a ticket and be pulled into the realm of orbs. That can take minutes, weeks, or even months.

Luckily it didn’t take long before the system got its one-hundred and forty-seventh hit. Someone had just been pulled into the realm of orbs. The tech team fired up the machine on Kieran’s command and the portal started to turn on and scan the path that the person just followed.

There was a lot of shaking, power surges, and loud sounds that didn’t sound like they were from this world, but after a minute, the portal worked, and on the other side was the realm of orbs. The Global Infiltration Revenge Legion got right to work and hoped inside.

As soon as they stepped foot inside, the entire room was filled with a bright light. Kieran covered his face until the light passed. As soon as he could see again, he was pissed. The machine to open the portals was gone, along with all the tech to make it work.

The genie works quickly, and it seems she noticed as soon as the uninvited visitors arrived in her realm and took action. Kieran would likely have to build the machine again and come up with another plan, that is if his team fails to take over the realm.

Meanwhile in the realm of orbs. The mercenary squad was instantly frozen in place by the magic from the genie. Luckily for them, they had a few ways to dispel basic magic, unluckily for them, the genie was far from basic.

She stuck her hand out, her eyes glowing and a pissed look on her face. She told them to leave immediately or suffer the consequences. They obviously weren't leaving, so they began to shoot, and try to attack her with their magically enhanced guns and knives.

The genie scoffed and then snapped her finger. Suddenly all around them were slimes, hundreds if not thousands. Each slime suddenly took the form of a seven-foot guy who was more buff than a horse. The genie smiled as she said she warned them, and then she ordered the slimes to get them.

The slimes started to run at the group, and while they took a few down, it was impossible for them to stop all of them. They were overpowered and encased inside large globs of slime, where their equipment and clothes were rapidly dissolved.

They knew it was over, they had no equipment and no way to escape. The genie landed on the ground next to them and looked at them. The leader K.B. spit at her and told her to do her worst, they weren't afraid of torture or being killed.

The genie looked at him and put her hand on his cheek. She laughed at him and told him he really had no idea who he was messing with. She could do far better than torture them, or even kill them. She then turned and started to think.

She then suddenly turned back around and smiled at them. She said she had the perfect idea. The genie snapped her fingers and summoned six orbs. Once she had them, she combined them into one big orb.

She then told them to have fun with their new lives before she tossed the large orb at the group of men. They saw it hit the slime that was holding them all, and suddenly they were all being pulled through a portal.

Each one blacked out for a minute, and when they came to, they were standing in the changing room in what looked like some high school. Each one turned around to find five girls standing next to them. Each one was very embarrassed and tried to excuse themselves at the same time.

That’s when they each noticed something strange about themselves. Each one looked down to find that they had been turned into a girl, and was wearing a schoolgirl uniform. Each one looked up and realized that the other girls were the rest of their team.

The genie was right, she could do far better than torture or killing them. She could turn them each into a high school girl and teleport them to a new world where they all go to high school together and live normal lives filled with friendship, love, and even a ton of drama!

this is a little different from what I thought but it is no worse and no better than what I thought it is kind of on the side of this scale and I am not sure how to react to it but I think I liked it and I am waiting for the continuation
