The Cursed Lineage: Queen Evelyn IV (TG-Empress)

Evelyn leaned over the crib to see her baby for the first time, that was when she was met with an oh-so-pleasant surprise. Inside the cradle was not one, but two babies. It turned out Evelyn had been carrying twin girls this whole time.

She was overjoyed, her heart was bursting with love for them, and even though she was exhausted, she felt like she could stand there forever and look at them. Heli held onto her and sat there looking down at the babies.

Things were much different than they expected. Not only did they have to pick out two girl names, but they were going to need to set up a whole new room now that there were two babies, but they didn’t have to rush on doing it this time, as they had quite a few months before it’s needed.

After a while, Evelyn had to go take a nap, so Heli carried her across the hall to their bedroom. He told her when she woke up, to call him. He’ll be across the hall with the babies, and when she wakes up, he’ll bring them over so she can hold them and lay with them.

She thanked him, then kissed him. He then turned the lights off and went across the hall. Evelyn quickly fell asleep and had an amazing dream. In it, her husband, her four kids, and herself were all having a happy family dinner.

That was it, nothing truly special, but with their family curse already taking one of her daughters and another being the queen of her own kingdom, it was something she wasn’t sure would ever be possible.

Evelyn woke up a couple of hours later feeling incredibly refreshed but was still a bit sore, so she decided to take up her husband's offer and relax in bed. She didn’t yell for him like he had told her, as she wasn’t sure if the babies were asleep.

So she asked one of the handmaidens to retrieve him and then asked a different one to grab her a nice sweater to wear. They got her changed just as Heli rolled the cradle with the babies inside the bedroom.

Heli pushed it right up next to their bed, then he pulled out one of the blanket-covered babies. He handed it to Evelyn and watched as she unwrapped the baby's head to reveal a beautiful baby girl. Evelyn felt overjoyed and gave her her first hug and kiss.

She looked just like her father. Her hair had slight elegant waves at the bottom, and the hair was also bright white with thick strands, just like Heli has thanks to his Fenlius genes. It was quite cute and made her the first one of their kids to look more like Heli than Evelyn.

Of course, she still had quite a bit from her mother. Like her eyes, it was like looking at a mirror with her own eyes looking back at her. Evelyn hugged her again and she started to giggle, she was just so adorable and was clearly going to be very active and loud as she grew.

Evelyn looked at Heli who was holding the other baby and looked down at her with a big smile. Evelyn reached her free hand out and asked if she could have that one or two. Heli let out a playful laugh and pretended to run away with her, but then came right over to Evelyn.

He pulled the blanket from the baby’s head and placed her gently in Evelyn’s arm. She was just as beautiful as her sister, but Evelyn sort of expected since they were twins that they’d look exactly the same, but that was far from how they were.

This one had more features from her mother, like her brown straight hair. Honestly looking at her made her think of Princess Eliana when she was younger. The two of them looked exactly the same as babies.

Well almost the same, this one has her father's bright yellow eyes, which is a bit hard to see because she seems perfectly happy to remain asleep. Evelyn gave her her first hug and kiss. She just remained asleep. Evelyn could already tell she was going to be the quiet and lazy of the two.

Evelyn hugged both babies again and smiled. She was so happy, there was nothing as special as moments like these, and that’s from the perspective of a queen whose entire family is cursed. Evelyn looked up to see her husband setting up an image crystal.

This was nothing new, he was always using them to capture special moments and had done so the first time she held each of their kids, which Evelyn really appreciated. Once he was set up, Evelyn held her babies close and smiled for the camera.

The flash caught the attention of both babies, with the white-haired one being interested and wanting to play with the strange new thing, and the other being upset that it disturbed her sleep. Heli came running over and grabbed the white-haired baby from Evelyn.

That allowed her to rock the other one and soothe it until she went back to sleep. Once she was happily snoozing, Heli sat on the bed next to Evelyn and hugged her with his free arm while he rocked the other baby.

He whispered to her and asked the big question, what were they going to name the twins? They had each picked a name, but Heli picked the male name, and Evelyn picked the female name. So they had only agreed to those.

Evelyn while holding the brown-haired baby said she thought the name she picked out would fit her better, and Heli agreed. So they officially named the brown-haired baby Elizabeth. Evelyn then looked at Heli and their other daughter and waited for him to come up with a name.

Heli stared down at the white-haired baby and looked lost in thought for some time. Then he randomly smiled. Evelyn knew he had a name, so she quickly asked what he had come up with. Heli looked at her and said the name Eleanora.

He said it was the name of his mother, the one who died when he was young, and strangely hadn’t thought about it in decades, but looking down at the baby made him think of her, and filled him with happiness.

Evelyn hugged him back and told him it was perfect, and that she loved the name. So it was official, the newest princesses in the land of Thurm Garia are Princess Elizabeth and Princess Eleanora. The kingdom is going to go wild with the party when they find out they have twins.

Those parties are always quite crazy as it was, but since this is the first time twins have been born, it was so to be quite the rager. Because of that, Heli ordered some servants to soundproof the babies' room so it wouldn’t bother them while they were sleeping.

While they got to work doing that, Evelyn and Heli fed the babies, changed them, and put them down in the cradle so they could nap. Then the two of them sat on the bed looking down at them cuddling and chatting about the future.

Now most parents are always worried about their children's future, but most don’t know what’s in store for them. Evelyn and Heli know all too well though, and what could be coming for their children worried them beyond belief.

Once they turn eighteen they’ll find out how much the family curse affects them, they could end up like their older sister and a majority of their family in the royal brothel, spending their days pleasuring the kingdom.

They both hope they get lucky like their mother, and have a weaker version of the curse, one they’re able to resist if they find their true loves, or even be like their eldest sister and get some sort of mutation that changes the curse enough to allow them to live normal lives.

Of course, the best thing that could happen to them is Heli and Evie finding what they need and breaking the curse altogether, that way they’d never have to experience the curse at all, and even have their massive family back.

Evelyn could tell that it was worrying him, so she kissed him on the cheek and told him that it would be okay, and to not worry so much about the future. Instead, he should focus on making every day until then precious and amazing.

They should spend as much time as possible, teaching them, playing games with them, holding them when they're sad or hurt, and most importantly being there to love them every single day. That way no matter how the curse affects them, they’ll know they gave them the best lives possible.

Heli seemed to relax a bit and agreed, that that was something he could do without question, and to start, he was going to start the renovations on the room next to the room the babies are currently in, that way they’ll each have their own rooms.

Heli though isn't going to give up his quest to break the curse afflicting his family. His dream is to break it before his youngest turns eighteen, but fate is mysterious and only time will tell if he manages to do so.
