My first post!

Hello! I suppose many of you came to my Patreon page via my Twitter or tumbler. If you don't know me, it's great to meet you here! I usually don't talk about myself much online, but I try to be open here!

It's a little about me! I've started to draw when I was this small. I can tell that Sailor Moon made me want to be an artist for sure. Later on, I used to post my art on pixiv, a Japanese online community for artists, and then some companies asked me to participate in projects. That's when I began my carrier as a professional artist. I've drawn for many game companies in Japan, but I guess I'm known the most as an artist of Fire Emblem. Luckily, it's my all-time favorite game, and I will talk about it here as one of its fans while I can't talk about it as a related artist to avoid disclosure of the corporate secret.

I love drawing for commercial work, but most of it is not allowed to be published as a part of my carrier, which means I can't claim that this is my art in public. No one gets to know about most of my illustrations. But as a freelancer, I had to be busy with work not to worry about my unstable income. Eventually, I felt like I was losing opportunities to draw for myself just for fun as I used to when I was a kid. Losing a sense of joy is critical as an artist. Recently, I did some commissions to get out of this situation, which is also something I'd always wanted to do. I felt just great by delivering my art to individuals! If I had focused on only commercial work, I'd never felt this feeling. I want to keep doing it, but I also want to draw a line between commercial work and commissions price-wise. I want my art to be affordable for everyone. If I get support here, I will not need to raise the price.

I tried to start Patreon for many years to solve the situation, but I put it off for a long time. But not anymore! With your support, I will get back my passion and explore the new sides of the art field. And I'm looking forward to sharing what I learn with you!

Thank you!

Ah! ラーメンさん!I'm happy to have you here! You've always been so supportive of whatever I try. That taught me so much about what it is like to be rooted for and motivated to jump into something new. I want to be like you, not being afraid of expressing support for someone I like! Thank you so much!

I've loved your stuff for the past several years, I'm so glad I'm able to support you more directly!! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us まよせんせい!

Thank you so much, Interlight! I'm pleased you found me on Twitter, and that led you here! With your support, my passion will continue, and I can create future art!

I recently found you on Twitter and I really like your style! The coloring, shading, and dynamic aspects make your drawings (faces, clothes, hair, etc.) really fun to look at. I hope your passion stays ablaze and thanks for sharing more about yourself Mayo. It was interesting to know about your journey as an artist (•ᴗ•)

Thank you for your support and message, Séafra Blaze Yeager! I'm happy that my favorite game gave me an opportunity to meet you here!

Thank you so much for your support and message! The muscular kawaii drawings are the things I worked on during my spare time! I was busy with commercial work then, but I'm glad that I drew them coz you liked them! The Cipher illustration you mentioned gave me a precious experience! They're the characters that I've adored ever since when I was a child so I drew it with my huge love!

Anything to support one of my favorite, yet recurring artists for the Fire Emblem series. Thank you for sharing, Mayo!

Thank you for sharing Mayo! I am a fan of your muscular + kawaii drawings. Strong girls are very cute! As for Fire Emblem, I enjoy most of all your illustration of Caeda diving to Marth from her Pegasus, it is a beautiful drawing that brings me lots of happy feelings.
