Family Trip
Added 2024-11-11 13:44:03 +0000 UTCTraveling with family can be hard. Portia goes to Japan with Edwin’s family to visit relatives, and it’s her first time so far away from home + meeting his family. Edwin was told they’d have their own rooms, etc during travels, but the whole time things keep messing up so they’ve all had to sleep in the same room, or he has to sleep alone while the sisters have taken Portia for a sleepover, they’ve barely had any time one on one, and to top it off, his grandparents then grilled her about herself. He wants her to have a good time so badly and is feeling a bit socially zapped, which is why he doesn’t love family trips… he’s an introvert amongst extroverts, Portia at least understands and can help him out a bit. Anyway, he’s hella stressed she’s having a terrible time, meanwhile Portia is just so happy to be here! She doesn’t have a big loving family, so she’s thrilled to experience one. She’s also missing him, and it’s a bit difficult setting boundaries because technically she was friends with his sisters first, so they have trouble distinguishing that Portia needs to spend time with her bf… he’s just their brother they see all the time so they wanna hang out with her! They wanna hang out with both of them because they’re cool, but Edwin keeps getting his Portia time interrupted and vice versa.
They work it out. They both have a wonderful time, and Edwin finally snaps and tells his family he’s doing what he wants and spending the day with his gf alone and they’re like ‘haha ok! Have fun, here’s some money’ cause they love em! They want them to have fun! They can just be oblivious
