She realized how much Hank and Marie woulda downright struggled and suffered financially if she and Walt didn't use Walt's money to pay for Hank's medical bills. It's not as if she changed her mind bout being in it with Walt so she could buy herself something pretty. No! She changed her mind so that she could do something extremely selfless in helping out Hank and Marie as family

Yellow- “yellow symbolizes caution, corruption, greed, and instability — a warning color that marks characters’ moral decay and danger as they sink deeper into the drug world” (Jane’s mouth with the popsicle, and Jesse’s bedsheets).

2025-10-01 15:48:56 +0000 UTCI don't think Skylar is that complicated. She wanted a divorce and I do think if he'd granted it off the bat, she'd have signed it, but he didn't. That gave her time and space to move in the world with the knowledge she had and even lowkey justify it to herself what he was doing. This isn't about her wanting his money, but you can argue since Walt is involved with this drug empire and his work caused this to happen, she'd feel like Walt should help Hank and Marie (and he should, I don’t see why you're ragging on her for it, y’all even agreed? Lol). It's not like she's trying to spend it for herself. The point is, Walt isn’t going to stop selling, and she can’t pretend to be ignorant the whole time. If Walt is gonna keep doing this, that puts them all at risk, she’s 100% involved at that point. So she’s gonna want him to do it properly. That’s why the gambling story and the car wash scheme exist: they’re not about enabling Walt, they’re about insulating the kids and creating plausible deniability when the feds come knocking. It’s survival, not ambition. I feel like y’all see Skylar is useful and smart but you won’t let go of her initial reaction, which was literally justified btw, even if you don’t agree with how she went about it. People cling to “I.F.T.” like it defines her forever, but in reality, she’s been consistent: she didn’t want this life, she wanted a divorce, Walt forced his way back in, and once she realized she couldn’t stop him, she shifted into damage control mode. And when you were wondering why Skylar talked about paying bills with drug money, well Walter told her that, remember? She initially rejected him using his drug money for anything to provide and he told her he’d already been doing that. So it was already too late. Once that truth is out, what else is she supposed to do? Pretend? No, she adapts. Her logic becomes: “If you’re doing this, then we’re at least going to do it right.” That’s not hypocrisy. That’s Skylar protecting her kids, protecting the family’s future, and yes, even protecting Walt’s image while his inattention to deeper details can hurt them all. She gave him the chance to do this clean and he spit on it. Now she’s just making sure the blast radius doesn’t take everyone down with him.

She didn't want to deal with all his lies, then she found out he was making hardcore drugs, and really didn't want to deal with that but he forced her hand by moving back into the house and saying okay I'm back, you call the cops if you want me gone, turn me in and destroy the family. So if she can't get away and knows all the wrong he's doing, she knows she can't just play stupid the whole time and wants to at least make sure it's done right so they don't get the family in even more trouble.

In the flashback, Jesse and Jane are in Santa Fe, looking at some of O'Keefe's work. The door that she painted over and over again was from her home in Abiquiu. Jesse says it's dumb to keep trying to paint the same door again and again until it's perfect. But Jane says, that represents her home and she loved it. It's about making the feeling of home last.
