The show. There IS a time jump in the comics after . So they're still, but like usually, they're remixing certain storylines with other characters, while also creating completely new storyline. It's just this time Rick & Carl aren't in the picture(which is a shame, especially for Carl's character with slick back hair and a one lense shade glasses), and we have Judith instead(who would have died when they escaped the prison back in season 4, along with Lori, if they had followed the comics, so Judith getting aged up as the Grimes kid is interesting)...

Maggie literally DID try to intervene. Michonne was literally holding Maggie back when she tried to kill Negan after Rick said, "Save Him". He never even discussed it with Maggie after telling her in the season 8 premiere promising that he was going to kill Negan, and that he was gonna follow her lead. Rick & Michonne TOOK Maggie's justice away from her. I love Michonne. I'm like her biggest fan, but holding Maggie back in that moment in the field was wrong. And Maggie is absolutely right. If that was Rick or Michonne they would be feeling a whole lot different. In fsct, this wouldn't even have been a conversation(Carl would have probably offed Negan the moment he pulled up to the gates for the first time in 7x04 if he killed either of them). It's easy to be dismissive when it didn't happen to you...

Nah don't blame them for Rick being in that situation. Rick is in that situation because HE put himself there. Instead of giving his people the justice they asked for he tried to stop it. Instead of hoping on that bike with Darryl when the herd started closing in, he chose to get on that horse. And even before that, why is that herd there? Because he trusted the Saviors and then decided to be petty and not set off the charges that was suppose to lead them away from the camp. All of Rick's "wise" decisions coming to roost.

Now you can start on “the world beyond”, you need this show for the information that’s needed in the towl spin off, this show gets some hate from fans, the first season is slow but it’s doing a lot of world & training building, the second season is much better & the final 3 episodes are very good, the world beyond does not spoil anything in ftwd, in fact it’s helped me understand some of the ftwd season 4 & 5 episodes. Do Not start towl until you’re done with season 10 episode 13 of the main show & the world beyond. Even if you don’t record twb reactions you’ll at least need to watch it in your spare time. Im so looking forward to the next episode.

Again, masterpiece of a season and this episode is one of the all time greats. When this aired and even leading up to it, we were told that Andrew Lincoln was going to be done with the show and since it was so public, they advertised this as the final episodes of Rick. So we were basically watching knowing that it was over for Rick during this episode because we knew or thought they’d be no other way to write his character off. He’d never just wake up and willingly leave Michonne and Judith behind. The Convos he had with a lot of the characters felt like closure and so we all came to terms with the fact we’d be losing Rick this episode. Shocked when they didn’t and anyone that knew about the spinoffs beforehand the impact of this episode isn’t going to be as felt like it was for those of us that watched in real time. Rest of the season is S tier stuff.

Your experience is obviously gonna be different but when this ep came out, it was marketed as Rick Grimes’ last episode and we all thought he was 100% dead. Andrew Lincoln wanted to leave the show in season 8 but stayed to complete the All Out War arc. This ep has to be one of my absolute favourites but the impact is weakened since we know about the spinoffs.

I didn't think we'd get this until next week! 🥰 Btw, did you guys notice all the S1 callbacks? From the beginning, Rick in the hospital bed, Morgan's voiceover "what is your wound?" Those were the words he first said to Rick when they met. Rick riding on a white horse with a hoard of walkers just like the first episode, trying to find his family. Then we get flashbacks and Shane with Lori voiceover (what is your wound?) the wound of losing Shane and the conflict with him and Lori. Then Hershel's appearance with Beth's voiceover (what is your wound), losing Hershel and Beth, feeling like he failed his loved ones and wanting to honor them and all they taught him. To Rick arriving at the bridge and blowing it up to protect his found family. It was such a well done episode. Very glad even though you didn't turn off subtitles, that these didn't reveal anything (in some of the subtitles, it actually spoils it and says Judith is speaking after the gun shots to save that new group so I feared y'all were about to get a spoiler for the surprise. Luckily you didn't. And others might have said it but Carl and Lori appearing would've just made Rick give up there because he was hallucinating back when he was trying to find them, and if he found them, he would pass. So its like Rick subconsciously chose people to keep him going.

Dang, Adison 8 years old earliest memory??? I remember my brother being brought home from the hospital after he was born (I'm about 2 years older) and my father coming home after Vietnam. This is where I officially tapped out of TWD. I think I watched half of another episode of season 9 while it was airing. This was a well-done episode! At some point, they announced TWD movies with Andrew. But when The Ones Who Lived was announced, I went back and watched the rest of TWD. It was half-hearted viewing, like watching a Law & Order marathon while doing house chores! I don't think this is a spoiler, but it was well known before the start of Season 9 that Andrew Lincoln was leaving the series. His wife and kids were living in the UK, and he felt he was missing out on his kids' lives. He even said he spent more time with Chandler Riggs playing a father than being a father. So when this aired, we knew Rick was gone for at least the rest of the season.

It kinda sucked because when Season 9 was released, epsiode number 5 was announced as Rick's departure from the show so we kind of anticipated it, unfortunately. He left the show originally because he wanted to be with his actual family and spend time with his kids who were growing up. He was never supposed to be written out like that. I mean, Carl technically wasnt supposed to be written off either so I guess no one was safe lol. Also, from the bridge scene to Judith being revealed it was a 6 year time jump. I believe it explains that in the next episode. The 'A' and 'B' will be revealed and be a bit more clearer when you watch the 'The Walking Dead : The Ones Who Live.' Dont want to spoil it to much, its actually a really good detailed storyline. I know alot of people were 50/50 with it, but I honestly loved it.
