Justine does a lot of crappy things in this show - no doubt. But beyond Paul being married and cheating, he got stuck by a needle, didn't really get treatment or go to a hospital and then didn't tell Justine before having sex with her. Let that sink in.

She was checking in with Alex when she noticed he got quiet, and she ran to check on him the moment the attack stopped. Most people would have run outta that house and forgotten all about the boy in that moment. I think she started drinking again because of the stress of the situation, and I can't promise I wouldn't have made the same dumbass mistakes if it was me. Also, let this be a lesson. You haven't seen someone for 15 years, you get that positive ID before you let them in your house! That's not your Auntie!

I told my husband I was emotionally exhausted after watching this. Came out of the theater looking crazy with my eyes all puffy lol

Dude was disloyal even without the alcohol in his system.

She tells Alex to go to bed. Again weird. His parents would never not feed him like that. Red flags flying everywhere. Alex goes upstairs, finds a phone and calls 911, because that’s what any normal kid would do in that situation, or was it just my mom that taught me “when something is really odd or you feel like you’re in danger call 911” 911: what’s your emergency? Alex: my parents didn’t pick me up from school and when I got home they’re just sitting at the kitchen table not moving or talking. They’re just sitting there looking like zombies. They never forget me at school and they’ve never acted this way or even close. Also this happened right after we picked up this weird old lady. 911: okay how old are you? Alex: I’m a child, my parents are in danger, I am in danger. 911: okay a kid is in danger, we’re sending a unit to your house. OR 911: okay a kid is saying his parents are neglectful and didn’t pick him up from school, we’re sending a unit Alex does this without Gladys knowledge because she sent him to bed. Police show up, knock on the door. Weird old lady that dispatch told them is a possible suspect answers the door. Police instantly on alert when they see possible suspect. She can’t grab a pair of scissors and cut their hair, take the hair to her little bowl and cut her hand,and do her witchy bullshit, even if she did someone manage to get hair from the cops, they’re tackling her instantly. They see the weird parents sitting at the kitchen table not doing reacting or moving. Gladys is in prison, kids are never kidnapped, the parents might even be able to talk again, Alex doesn’t grow up without parents. I’m sorry but there’s no singular reason that Alex does not call 911 the first day he finds his parents at the table. It’s so stupid that he wouldn’t. Even if you are a child and crippled with fear, you would still be like “I have no idea who this Gladys is, my parents look like they’re poisoned and I know that they would want me to call 911 in this situation.” Annoyed me so much in the movie theatre lol

Yet, NOT A SINGLE CAMERA in ANY OTHER HOUSE records any of the kids running to Alex house? None of the neighbours? None of the houses they ran by???? Huge plot hole imo 2. Alex ain’t smart. I’m sorry but when I was 7, 8, 9 whatever age he is, if I came home and my parents are sitting at the kitchen table not moving for 48 hours in a row, stabbing themselves with a fork, I don’t give a damn what witch is there, I don’t care if Hermoine Granger is in my house, I am going to call 911!!!!!! Are you kidding me Alex? You talking about teach your kids, someone should’ve taught Alex what constitutes a freaking emergency!
