I've been and am still there. I went 6 months without and I promise it's not bad. What helps me is thinking back to when I was a kid or teenager, and I was just a little happy nerd, who didn't think about substances. If you don't need it then, you don't need it now. Best of luck and God bless

I'm certain they do, but I don't think it's quite dawned on them that the zombies in this show are a mere days/hours old, whereas the zombies in TWD are literally years old. So they're used to the nasty old, slow ones.

Really late comment, but " I always mean it" hits home to me as someone who is trying to quit alcohol. I try and try to quit, but addiction is hard. I always mean it when I want to quit, but lately life keeps throwing me curveballs and when you're done, it makes things harder. I'm living with/taking care of a parent with Alzheimers, alcohol is a "good" escape, but I also know I'll be a better caregiver sober. But it's so hard to give up the thing that lets me drown out the situation.

From season 4 its boring, slow pace, zero impact, I think most of patreons wouldnt be even mad if you stopped watching at some point. But maybe you will like it who knows. I am looking forward for those 3 seasons tho!

Cool you guys are checking out "Fear...". It's a different perspective in The Walking Dead franchise. Some episodes are better than others... but saying that, some episodes are EXCELLENT. It's worth checking out. Even some of the later season episodes will get you feeling 'some type of way'... Anger, sadness and pure shock. You might even smile sometimes...

It's the beginning of the outbreak, so the dead haven't decomposed as much as we see them in TWD. Nick is played by Frank Dillane - his father, Stephen Dillane, is one of my favorite actors. Stephen played Stannis Baratheon in Game of Thrones. I got halfway through season 2 and gave up on the show. Fans seem to like it. I was over zombies (TWD and FTWD) when FTWD aired. Enjoy the show.

The zombies in this series are the same as in the main show. This is happening in the same world, just on the west coast. This starts a little earlier but eventually, timeline wise, the two shows are happening simultaneously. At least the majority of season 1 of FTWD, Rick is still in a coma.

FTWD is decent, and worth checking out but it's not as good as the main show. Seasons 1, 2 & 3 are consistently a solid 7/10 or 8/10 and the story gets better each season. Seasons 4 & 5 are when bizarre choices start to get made, although it's still watchable. The first half of season 6 was great, with a neo western mystery element, but then by the second half of season 6 they're back to the same illogical decision making that tanked seasons 4&5. Season 7 was AWFUL. Like really bad, so I decided I would finish the season, but wouldn't watch anymore of the show as it was just ridiculous how poor, and silly it all was. Then, they announced that season 8 would be the final season of the show, and I thought, I've watched this far, hopefully it can redeem itself since there's still 1 character I love. Season 8 of FTWD is one of the worst seasons of television I've watched, period. Of any show, of any genre, and I say this as a fan of TWD franchise. They rewrite the backstory of a legacy character, for the worse. They butcher multiple legacy characters personalities and storylines. They rewrite the walking dead franchises lore, for the worse, and write the kind of story that's so bad, an amateur fan fiction author could've wrote something better. All this to say, the juice isn't worth the squeeze with FTWD long term, I'd personally rather see more uploads from the main show

When Addison spoke on how these walkers look a lot more like themselves, it's really the fact that this is the very beginning. The original series starts weeks into the apocalypse which gives walkers who say turned during this series start period, time to decompose and really get that walker look. What were used to seeing now in the original series is what I like to call "walker veterans" which basically is walkers who have been at it for years at this point!
