Usually their Negro Spidey senses be tingling. 😂😩 I had been dreading this episode. I learned about Carl's death soon after I stopped watching TWD after Glenn's gruesomely horrific death. It seemed to further justify my decision to quit TWD. I didn't know how hard they were going to take it when I crashed out 2 weeks prior after watching it for the first time. It is was a total lame Walker death. This stunk of poor writing choices from the writers. Then learning how dirty they did Chandler Riggs killing him off after promising him longevity on the show because he wanted to purchase a house. I felt every bit of Adison's shocked silence. Ad was stewing it. 🫂 Brandon's crash out spoke to my soul. When the sports metaphors start to fly, it done got real. 😂 That rant was fire. I was here for it. Brandon straight need a slap circle. 😂 I digress, I hadn't been able to continue to proceed watching anymore episodes until now. I hurt so bad. Our babyboy didn't deserve this death. 😭 It was really like Beth's death all over again ... which was the beginning of sorrows to come. Then we were left with a new character no one asked for like with Everybody hates Chris. Then he died what 3-4 episodes later. Smh ...

That was most of the fandom when this episode aired. Having to watch Michonne and Rick lose their son and for Michonne losing another child. But Carl did his thing tho, he played Negan for a fool. She was even only there in the first place, because she did not want Michonne to go check out the Sanctuary by herself since she was still recovering. It was all Daryl, Tara and Morgan who did that truck thing.

"Riggs had been making long-term plans for college and had just bought a house near the filming location, believing he had a future on the show, which made the news of his character's death particularly difficult. " (From when I googled why he was written off the show.)

No. But Eugene building them bullets was gonna happen either way. He was literally brought to the sanctuary because he made a bullet from scratch. Negan would’ve remembered that at some point. Not to mention Eugene was already trying to find ways to get the walkers away. Negan’s a good talker but he’s also a hypocrite. It’s like Brandon said before you can’t actually care about your people if you’re putting them in situations like this. The saviors got into this situation because of their own doing. It just took messing with the right group to show them they aren’t invincible

Carl’s actor aging as fast as he did from 2010 to 2017 when this episode aired, it seems like a lot of time had passed but up until this point in the show it’s just been under 2 years of the apocalypse. Her time for crashing out was last season and she learned that lesson about vengeance and that’s been clear multiple times now. When the group was hiding in the sewer and Michonne left them, you can’t say “yall do your foolishness” to Rosita and justify Michonne doing what she’s gonna do bc that really defeats your whole argument. In that moment Rosita was following orders, as she’s been all of season 8 mind you, and Michonne was the one not following the plan. Point being that automatically lumping Rosita in with Daryl and Tara’s actions this season is beyond unreasonable.

I remember wishing he would go on to play Han Solo as they were in development over the Solo movie around this time. I still want to shank Scott Gimple over Carl! I remember book readers thinking Carl would be the last man standing, and the story was him retelling it from old age.

Not only was doing this being the worst decision the shows made, but they did the actor, who had just graduated high school and turned 18.
